have you had any issues with one of the Bantams not working and causing issues with the other? I have a gladiator with a canopy and I have one bantam in the engine bay daisy chained to another one in the canopy. Both have their own touchscreen. I've run into an issue where the one in the engine bay only works for a few minutes because the one in the canopy seems to not be registering (shows blank for temperature and voltage on the touchscreen for that bantam). Curious if you've had any issues and if so how you resolved.

The reverse light is what I would use the most. Have the input trigger the lights automatically when in reverse, but then can turn them on physically at any time. What is confusing me is can you run two units from the same touch screen. I keep seeing all the stuff about sources, and selecting them, but can not find anything on their site about how to hook two together. I did see you have your connected together, the stuff on their site is not real clear you can do that or how, just mentions they can be set as sources.

Hey there. Do you have a write-up or anything explaining how you used the courtesy light circuit to trigger your rock lights through the sPod? That's pretty awesome.
@WTFSoCal
@WTFSoCal 4 жыл бұрын
I dont, but its an easy to do trick. there are courtesy lights under the dash on both sides,. I tapped/spliced in to the hot wire for that light on the drivers side and used that to run a wire out to the spod thru the master cylinder hole in the firewall. its pretty cool, every time you activate the door lock or open or close the door it switches the light on/off. you can use them as constant on rock lights as well. However if you turn on your courtesy lights using he wheel knob on the dash just above your left knee, it will also activate the rock lights...
@MrAttworth
@MrAttworth 4 жыл бұрын
Awesome. Does your trigger wire just go to the positive on the sPod at the terminal for the rock lights?
@spodofficial
@spodofficial 3 жыл бұрын

This is great question! We use a technology called PWM (Pulse-width modulation) which basically controls the current levels to the LED drivers (Drivers are the circuits that regulate the current and voltage to the individual LEDs). This allows dimming without flickering and with usually very little color change in the LEDs. You may find that some LEDs will not dim below 10% brightness, this is normal and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. So to answer your question, our system will dim the LED safely. Take care -john

I have a question regrading the sPOD touchscreen. Is there a way to prevent switch one and switch two to be on at the same time besides not pushing both buttons to prevent that. I ask this because my lights are the LP9 and you are not supposed to run both low beam and high beam together - it could blow the circuit board on the lights. They are to be run either low or high never together. So if my low is sw1 and high sw2 and amber sw3 - I don't want a mistake happening and someone pushing both button 1 and 2 on together. Trying to find out if there is a feature to prevent that from happening via the screen.
@WTFSoCal

@spodofficial 4 жыл бұрын
Hello Sam, shoot me an email (sales@4x4s-pod.com) and I will give you some suggestions on how to prevent both the high beam and the low beam from being operated at the same time. One option is to forego the low beam and program the high beam for dimmable and make it any brightness you want. Plus this will open a circuit for other accessories. Take care -john
