Dual Sport riding in Capitol State Forest! - XL600R - KLR650s

A 1983 XL250R was my first motorcycle (bought in 1983) I’m on my 23rd motorcycle now, a 2023 KLR650s. I’ve about gone full circle, especially after 7 liter bikes.

I enjoy the mountain bike trails there at Capitol Forest. Wouldn't mind a klr . Nice to know there are adventure bike areas there. I was looking at a 500 Honda like yours, ended up with an FTR

@gr8fulride Capitol Forest has a TON to offer!! The KLR was a bit awkward for me, but on logging roads it would be fine, but I'll stick with my Honda, it's a blast!

As far as looks go I 1000% prefer the old Xl

XL is a lot faster from 0 compared to the KLR. Better bike all around.

It's a better bike for me, that's for sure! The XL is geared pretty low and could stand to go up, but it's perfect for how I use it!
