Isn't 208 is two legs of a 3-phase tap, meaning the phases are 120 degrees apart rather than the 180 of single phase? In datacenter power delivery, that's something we can't use interchangeably because of power supply sensitivity, do 240V single-phase AC motors really take 208 without trouble?

Very good looks like you know about electricity but In the USA it's not 240 volts phase to phase its 208 to 230

That motor is going to run hot because the supply is 208VAC and the motor is for 115/230.

208, and 230 are the same

@@rookiebeeeautch5847 208 service is not the same than 230..the motor would be ok if it gets 208 VAC which is about 10% tolerance, but if it gets lower voltage like 190; the motor will run hot..

@@ajvelazco9029 if youre only pulling 190 you're experiencing issues with components.... 208/230 is just 2 hot legs of 110-120 and a ground instead of a neutral

Well finally somebody points out THE WIRES HAVE THE L NUMBERS STAMPED ON THEM Sheesh!!! I looked at the orange and blue wires first and couldn't see any stinking numbers just mfg wire codes I was totally confused and pissed off. I'd say this video is worth a hundred likes. I'll have to wear my cheater glasses to look closer. so on the Baldore 110/230 motor , for 230V its blue hot, yellow hot, orange white together, brown NC taped off
