there's a story behind this song The record owner, Alan McGee, asked Noel to write a song for B-side, a song supposed to be fill ups for a single, a side track, and he brought this. Alan got so impressed about this song, and asked Noel to make this song as its own single. But Noel said No to that "I told you to write B-side" "So I did" "But this is too good" "Yeah, I don't write shits"

The vis is inspired by J,S, Lowery, The self taught 'Naive' painter who was a rent collector in the slums of Salford, Manchester, at the turn of the last century, and on his days off documented the town in this 'Matchstick men' style.

Yep, Noel singing and writing all the tunes. He’s a brilliant songwriter. I don’t know of any other successful bands where one guy writes every note and every lyric. U need to check out the live versions of these songs. Oasis was better live in the 90’s and that’s a testament to how good they were. Fun to watch u react and understand why we love Oasis so much. Their songs meant something. They had attitude and something to say.

They never really broke America, despite multiple attempts. You should check out the live version of this and also Acquiesce, Wonderwall, Don't Look Back in Anger. Pretty much the entirety of Definitely Maybe and (What's the Story) Morning Glory Albums. This is Oasis at their finest, at the time where Liam thought he was John Lennon reincarnated. He styled himself on Lennon and Ian Brown. Ian Brown inspired Liam's walk. Noel is more like Paul Wellar & The Style Council. The greatest Rock n' Roll band since the Beatles.
