When God created my friend Elvis he was just showing off. I can't tell you how much i love and miss him, there is not a day that goes by that i don't think of him and all the memories we made in 10 short years, his death knocked the wind out of me i have never been the same since, Elvis was the big brother i never had. He is also my guardian angel. Graceland is my go to place when it get's to hard to live w/o my friend i go there and walk around and remember Elvis and all the beautiful times we had together. He was the only person in my life that understood me and cared about my feelings and opinions. What it comes down to is we both needed a true friend and we were that for each other. I use to post memories of our friendship and people started posting nasty hurtful and jealous things so i never will share any of my memories with anyone i choose to keep them tucked away safe in my heart forever. Awesome reaction. God bless you and your family from the one and only Memphis Tn. Btw Polk salad is so yummy but it must be prepared a certain way because it is Poisonous if eaten raw. Elvis just loved to make noises with the microphone to make people laugh nothing sexual about it.

It's happening to others lately. He was so cute here, it shows his humor and how much fun he had on stage. because he did two shows a night every night with out a day off for almost two months at a time, he had to do something to let off steam. Nobody would even began to work like that today. the colonial had a gambling debt to pay in Vegas and don't forget the colonel, his manager took 50% of everything he made. Another super charged show where he adlibs a lot is "Elvis Presley Jaw dropping Performance" Vegas 1970. Thanks for giving Elvis a change, he was one of a kind. He was a star from the minute he started. I saw him in 1956 when I was a teenager, and my Dad didn't want me to watch him. Ha, things have changed. be blessed.

There is Elvis and then there is everyone else. The dish is known as poke sallet or polk salad because it is made with pokeweed, a pervasive green that can be toxic when ingested improperly. Pokeweed is especially prevalent in Southern Appalachia, and the make-do recipe became a type of foraged staple for some, especially in rural and impoverished households.

It was well known that Elvis was very nervous before all of his shows. He said that he had to treat every show as if it was the first time because every night it was a different audience and most of them had never seen him perform live.

I live in south Arkansas and it’s very rural. I’ve never eaten poke salad but I can remember my grandmother back in the 70’s when I was a kid, and we would ride through the country. She would say “smell that poke salad”. It reminded me of black pepper. I think I would have liked it, I love turnip and mustard greens and collard greens. And I love Elvis! Thanks for your reaction!

Yes his daughter, Lisa Marie just passed away. She had producers arrange a few duets where she was able to sing with her dad. I particularly like the duets In the Ghetto and Where No One Stands Alone. Lisa Marie was a singer in her own right.

Saw him in 1972 and 1973 in the Hampton Road concert. In 1972 I was only 3 rows back from the stage, he was so beautiful when he sang love me tender and started kissing girls at the edge of the stage I wanted to go up there so bad, but I was with my Husband, who wasn't that thrilled about being there anyway. Eventually he became an Elvis fan. Elvis just had an aura about him, no one else had. Now at 80 it was one of the thrills of a lifetime.

This really showcases what a showman & entertainer Elvis was. And he had a good sense of humor. He really liked wearing these white jumpsuits & it became his staple outfit in a lot of his concerts. "Polk Salad Annie” is a 1968 song written & performed originally by Tony Joe White.

Jane H commenting ….. This is one of my most favourite Elvis videos …. & Suspicious Minds in the 1970 Las Vegas Live Concert, which is the same concert as this video. Suspicious Minds at the Las Vegas concert would be a great one for you to react to. I know you did this song at the Aloha from Hawaii 1973 concert, but the 1970 Las Vegas is really great, for his dancing & sheer energy while singing.

BRO, I always say, I might be Minnesota's biggest ELVIS fan! I for one appreciate that you're kinda going down the rabbit hole, you're giving his fans what they love most, and that's more ELVIS reactions! I am hoping to introduce you to my favorite (living) male singer, David Phelps. He has a catalogue of Christian performances, and will select certain secular songs he will cover. One is Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing". David sings this song in the same key as Whitney. In my opinion, David has one of the finest voices this side of Heaven! As the holiday season approaches, David performs the most stunning version of "O Holy Night" I've ever heard! More details to follow if you do agree to give David Phelps a chance to debut on your Channel! THANK YOU for being a kind, gracious host, and we love your reactions! From the Northwoods of Minnesota, all my Blessings!

That tiny bit of paper couldn't hold the lyrics; & if you notice on such performances of Burning Love in Greensboro, North Carolina in 1972 he had an actual full-sized song sheet w-him, which he mentioned on stage -- he also did that in Austin, Texas 1972 & for I Just Can't Help Believin' Vegas 1970.

Poke Sallet (correct spelling) from the poisonous Pokeweed plant, can be eaten when picked in the spring cooked well. The "hut 2 3 4" was reminiscent of his Army days. Hope things improve for your channel but in the meantime i'm still pushin' to get more people to watch what i think is a great 1972 performance from Hampton Roads, Virginia that is much overlooked THE WATER THROWING INCIDENT - at the very, very start of the video Elvis called out “Please Release Me” but the band began playing “I Can’t Stop Loving You” - he didn’t stop them, he went right into the song, he then walked over to his glass of water, picked it up & playfully threw it at Glen @ piano - a real fun, energetic, powerhouse kzbin.info/www/bejne/gn_XgWh9mZ2Efac w-Elvis' voice just a bit deeper & richer -- just be sure you hear him say Please Release Me & then it will make sense -- note his little irritated look @ beginning.
