a bluetooth dongle works too. if you've got a hifi speaker, chances are you have a receiver/amplifier. So you can connect it to that. most newer ones come with bluetooth anyways.

@lukegraham75615 жыл бұрын
@@DubiousEngineering okay but not all bluetooth speakers need recharging and those "audiophile" speakers would sound a thousand percent better on an amplifier made for it not a 2.5 watt amplifier in that google speaker and my third point is that by doing what you have done you have effectively void your warranty on the product

Google minis are extremely cheap. Single speakers are also extremely cheap. Why not do it? Plus bluetooth speakers will also require charging or separate power on top of what the mini uses. There are dozens of centre speakers around that would be perfect for this.

@@DubiousEngineering I just did this with a big yamaha centre speaker. Removed the tweeter and used the Google Mini speaker in its place with some black silicone. Added a custom crossover(simple cap on the mini and a coil on the 2 bass drivers). Much louder than original especially in the low end. Made this for my garage speaker where I work on my cars amd have some gym gear. As loud as anyone would ever need for a garage. Centre speaker was free with blown tweeter, mini was $30au (£17?) Runs off a single usb. Winning!
