I think dubbing loops make for some very buggy and durable flies. The Flies you made in the video will definitely Ripp some lipps. As always, your videos teach technics that seasoned or beginners all need to brush up on or learn. Thanks Vladimir!

I always learn something new from your videos. I especially like the little detail you go into that makes a difference. Thanks again!

I frequently use dubbing loops. This demonstration however gave me fresh ideas of its use. I'm filing this video away for reference. Thanks very much Vladimir.

Thank you Vlad! These video are highly helpful and informative. It certainly has help me learn. I'm quite new to fly tying. You are a very talented fly tier thank you. May I ask, are you in China? I saw a previous video, it looked like south China, where you were fishing. I lived in Guangzhou and Shenzhen from 2008 to 2014, it was a wonderful enriching experience!

I like and use the Smhaen Master dubbing twister because it holds the loop closed when it is at rest. You have to squeeze it to open the loop but I find that I don't drop hair as often as with other twisters. The only downside with it is you have to be careful with downward tension when you capture the hair or dubbing. The hooks on it are thin metal and can cut through the loop thread easily. Also I like to use Nano Silk for loops.

When do you do loops vs splitting the thread?

As soon as I heard the cat I thought “i wonder if he’s ever tied a hares ear outta that cat’s fur….” Yeah, I’m strange hah. If you haven’t already done it…would a video of a car fur fly do well? lol probably kinda clickbait, but I bet you could make it work hahah
