Vladimir, your approach to the trailing shuck is brilliant. It appears hollow, as it should, like the insect had just been inside it. So, many patterns make the shuck look like a dogs tail. Thanks for this idea!
@Oholisfliesandfishing3 ай бұрын
Thank you so much. I believe so too. Some shucks are nothing like they should be. Cheers 🍻

your flies are really beautiful and in your videos you explain very well how to tie them. Would be nice a video with your best flies for trout like the one you did for grayling .

Thank you so much. I have to thank you for this. By introducing my channel to Wayne it lead to me getting better at this. And Wayne was the one who actually taught me this technique about comparaduns. I just added cdc in the whole process 😀😀

@@Oholisfliesandfishing You are quite welcome. You have a knack for teaching on your channel and have become very good at it, which is seen in the number of views and subscribers...congratulations!

Thank you. When i started doing this more seriously I didn't expect it to grow nearly as much. The whole process taught me immensely and Wayne's guidance was and still is the best thing that have happened to my tying.

This is the most fishy looking dry fly I’ve ever seen. I’m tying it, I bet it would be a great prospecting fly too. Thanks!!!!

Very nice fly and will try it, but I may do the the loop behind the deer hair and do the dubbing the ordinary way for simplicety and to not challenge my skills to much
@Oholisfliesandfishing3 ай бұрын
Thanks. That is also an option. Its up to you. Important is to go through the hair with cdc loop 👌

I understand your apposed to a thread dam infront of the wing...what do you think the cdc maneuver at the end was?..beautiful fly and love the cdc "palmering?" thru the wing ..but you didnt eliminate a dam...just changed materials
@Oholisfliesandfishing3 ай бұрын
@@Flyrodder68 well, dam would be making layer upon layer upon layer as 8 demonstrated at the beginning of the video. That kind of dam is annoying and inefficient. Going with cdc loop (palmering) through the wings will keep wings upright better than dams in front of it. Try it for yourself 🍻

Fantastic tutorial as always Vladimir. I have been using a similar technique on my E.danica imitations for the large Loughs here in Ireland. It definitely improves the stability of the wing. I am definitely going to try some with the trailing Shuck. Do you treat the Antron with floatant or allow it to sink naturally?
@Oholisfliesandfishing3 ай бұрын
@@bobmorgan6333 thank you. Glad you enjoyed it. I wouldn't treat shuck with floatant, i like it submerged. 🍻

There is no closed season but its not easy to find the spot without locals. But around Xi'an there are other fish too. May be colder though. Not sure. oholidzo@yahoo.com send a message, i will try to help

Antron from dubbing dispenser in ginger variant color.
