Great video Stephen (Mind if I call you Stephen?), Beautiful journey all the scenery especially along the coast up to Drogheda 🙂 I love the Enterprise train it is by far the best train on our network in my opinion, other being the MK4 which is my local train as I'm from Cork. I will be sad to see the DD's Decommissioned which I'd say isn't too far down the road based on the MK3 Generator Vans age and the power requirements the 201 would need to put out to operate it alone.

Hopefully they'll be kept longer than 2025 but wouldn't surprise me if they are withdrawn before that, as far as I know the 22s are on the way out with 600 hybrid electric units coming in, all the 201 locos in inchicore will be refurbished and sent back into traffic

Can see the DD's lasting past 2025, they're really starting to become unreliable. The 22s are just cheap and cheerfull units, wasn't expecting them to last too long. Be interesting to see these hybrid units when they come in.

3 Minutes late departing . This would not have happened in the G N R days . V
