I wish we could share the tastes and smells along with the visuals! We did notice a lot of American flags in Dublin, could some Irish peeps enlighten us as to why there are so many?

Generally any hotel or business hoping to attract tourists will have an american flag and obviously dublin gets a huge number of american tourists .One flag despite relations between ireland and the UK being good for nearly 20 years atleast you won't see flying on dublin hotels is the Union jack you will find the constituent parts of the flag the scottish english welsh flags flying but never the Union jack or so they say.

clay fada That's pretty neat. We have noticed many American tourists across Ireland - I figured your two nations have quite a close bond. As for the Union Jack and the mention of having better relationships with the English, we have a similar sentiment towards the UK in South Africa 😄 some wounds of history just take longer to heal, I suppose...

Well they are very close bonds between ireland and the USA,because 35million americans claim irish ancestory.American country music or our take on it country and irish is huge in rural ireland .Yes i noticed that in SA when i was there the same sort of thing.Their seemed a great cultural affinity between SA and the UK rugby cricket,yet at the same time there was an undercurrent thats the same here though we have gaelic sports aswell you will have someone supporting liverpool for example and at the same time hope england lose at the soccer WC .Very much a love hate relationship.

How would we find your air B&B?

Enjoyed your video. But omg 15 euro for a irish stew. Way way to expensive. I live in west of Ireland and there is absolutely nowhere irish stew is over 10 euro. Dublin is a rip off. But offcourse you are in a tourist area. The amount of American accents behind you says it all. Lol

next video...irish supermarket prices ? :)
@TwojaysStepaway6 жыл бұрын
can taner You know, that is a brilliant idea 🤔 We've been surviving on the supermarkets here (not complaining! I'm a home-body and enjoy cooking) and my go-to reflex is to compare prices ('coz I'm a bit of number-nerd). Thank you for the recommendation - I think we can whip something up!

clay fada It's been a mix of everything to be honest! I've had some luck with the Supervalu, grabbing produce specifically, but we've been picking up our beer at Aldis. The joys of choice!
