Actually, the Group you called "Send" is a "Return" as far as signal Flow is concerned: Send From Sound X to Plugin Y > and back into the Mix - but that's no big deal. The real problem with that type of setup for Parallel Processing within Maschine is that Maschine 2.0 has no Automatic Delay Compensation so you might run into some strange sounding phase cancellation issues due to a delayed signal. So therefore, using a Compressor Plugin with a Mix Knob as an Insert on the main Drumbus is a better choice.

Add events freely over the entire project An easier way to do what I am referring to is by creating a way to convert all pattern/scene changes into one pattern per group giving the user the ability to free lance events over the entire project with more groups over top of their creation with ability to go back and tweak past events in already convert patterns/groups

This may be a silly question, but can't you just compress the kick/snare through attaching an effect to those individual sounds? Rather than sending the FX from another group?

It gives you more control, sending part of the signal clean and a chosen part compressed. This thickens the sound. Also with Maschine it makes automation easier, as you can automate across the sidechain rather than messing up individual patterns.

It's good idea, but now there is a Solid bus compressor, by NI, which has wet&dry function. In this particular option that you have here, you have to just push high "output knob" - as your send channel and push high "dry knob" - as your main KICK_NATAL channel. This Solid bus compressor is exactly made for what you did here and Stansteez in his comment is right. That's why NI made it.

is this really ny compression? u are sending your drums to a channel, than to master output.. theres no mix between dry / wet drum bus signal.. the drums are just passing through the eq and compressor, we have no dry signal together here i think.. plus, of course the drums are big.. u did a lot of +5 and +10db changes on the EQ

You are absolutely correct... NY compression is keeping one signal dry and compressing the copy/duplicate..

so can you tell me whats the difference between 1. routing my kick and snare to a group,compress it there and back in to the mix 2. Put direct Compressors on the samples like the Kick gets an Compressor and the Snare.. so 1 Compressor for Each Drum sample I dont see the difference here.. bout "Parallel & Direct Compressing"

For ease of control. This is why it's best to create an auxiliary channel. You can control the effect without affecting the instrument or sound.

How do you get all your import your custom libraries like that? Like I see you have a dipset & 9th wonder "expansion". When I import folders, it only lets me pick the type (kick, snare, etc.). Not the "library" name and pics. (Though I know pics is in a separate tutorial)

Parallel compression simply means to split the signal and sending both to a compressor. Creating a thicker and louder sound. This is why you create an auxiliary channel. If you just add compression to the main track, you're simply compressing that singular signal. Also yes, you will have more control over the effect. You're purposely destroying auxiliary signal while being compensated with depth and loudness and keeping the main signal intact.

+Andrew Sanchez Make sure that on that second, "Group," of the sound bank that you have chosen, that you have the plug-in instance already pulled up and the "sound bank," renamed to what you would like to call your parallel processing, e.g. "NY Compression," and you will be able to see the routing in the "Aux," tab of the "Output" section of the original "Group." Hope this helps...

SHAKH'AR maybe you have a template for it? Like i had it setup way before 2.7... and it works, but for me to do it all over again using 2.7 it wont work... if you open up an old file with those settings in place it will work, but to start from scratch using the newer software update it wont
