Usually race now. At first it was wet mode. Dutunes the motor down to 120hp.

Changing the modes basically made it feel like a new bike. I hope you get to ride a Ducati soon my friend!

also, if you take it to red line, instead of short shifting at 8k you will find the power band

I drive race mode when I’m in good shape and it just feel like haven nothing can com close to performing

Changing modes is hard to do? You literally press a button to pull up the modes then press same button 1 or 2 times depending on mode u want to switch to. How can u own a motorcycle for 8 months and not know how to operate the controls?

I believe low mode hp is either 100 or 105 so much less than 70%

Why u off the gas when shifting up? U should know that u have QS and autoblipper on that beast... weird...

Sometimes it has a slight delay when you hold the throttle completely open.

@@TheDucatiPilot hmmm, maybe there is some software update? I'm on the market and has got one 1299s on eye... orange I will wait until next year and see what will change... maybe new V4 with wider body (not official info) or maybe GSXR. Anyway, thanks for answer:)

@@PeacemakerPL I'm actually taking my 1299 in for service soon. I'll have them check the software. As for a new V4....Ducati has announced the 2020, but its basically is the same bike with the ugly "winglets" added on. I'm defiantly keeping my 1299 and not "upgrading" to the V4. Good luck!

Disregard. I see what you have. NICE!!! How many miles on her? Have you had any issues with her?

Haha, no worries! She has 3100 miles and it's a 2017 model. No real issues yet, though when I fill the gas tank full, I have a small amount of fuel seeping up from the fuel tank rim. I believe it needs a new gasket, which should be cheap to fix. It's a thrill to ride my Friend!

WOW you have it how long ? never in race mode!! Different bike.race mod 100% power delivery quicker throttle response , tighter suspension wheelie 2 out if 8, WILL catch you by surprise, BE CAREFUL NO ANTI LOCK on rear wheel breaking Idea for this is to lockup rear wheel on a turn , square it off for a straight line I'm NEVER out of race mode except in rain. Wet mod 20% power delivery very slow throttle response, Sport medium engine power about 70%. NO BS, 110 mph bang 3rd stands up !! Rear tire has sooo much to do with traction. I have found Dunlap Q 4 to be the best. Tire # 4 in 13,000 !! NOW get out there STOP short shifting and see what the 1299 is REALLY about. This bike BEGS too be ridden HARD!!! I want too see what you think . DID I mention ,, got a warning ticket on I 73 here in greensboro a month ago 140 !. Last monday Dynoed the 1299 with 91 octane fuel--- 197 @ the rear wheel weighed in @ 396 lbs. trying too down load video 6 minuts long no luck . Friend me on F.B. is on there. V 4 Street fighter will be my next Ducati not till April in memory of Carlin Dunne. We lost a real gentleman ..

Yeah I've had it for a while and was used to sport mode, lol. Having it in race mode completely changed the game for me. Thanks for adding in there is no Anti-Lock when in race mode! I have to look into those Q4 tires. I still probably have another 1500-2000 miles to go on my current tires though. That's crazy you only got a warning for the 140! Maybe the cop was really impressed with your bike ;) Happy Holidays!

@@TheDucatiPilot FIRST thing he said, Why did you STOP? I replied, no mater how fast my bike is,, your radio is faster ! he laughed . As soon as you put his lights on, I puled over, he agreed . HE DID want to sit on the bike, would not look good on the freeway he stated. OH, took him 3 miles too catch me, I was slowing down too exit off I 73. LOVE your posts and stay in touch. *doesn’t know how to explain it…. Race mode - Full raw engine power Sport mode - Full engine power with smooth delivery of power Rain mode - reduced engine power 20k motorcycle. Read your manual dude.
