You should they are Prestige and the ride is Quality, nothing else like it really. Theres nothing wrong with the swing arm i think its better than the normal single swing arm. Yeah for now but i don't ride in the wet either especially now Iv'e got this beaut. Thanks hope you look into getting one. Go and test ride one and see the difference.

Nice bike and good sound. Just wondering where do you buy a Termi full system for Duc 899? I'm browsing on proitalia.com and they just offer a slip on for Ducati 899, and slip-on/ full system for 1199. Just guess you installed a full system of 1199 for your Duc 899.

The Ducati www website says exhaust come with the air filter and map. They called it" Ducati Corse racing silencer kit. But my country have "slip on exhaust system"( without air filter) only.... The part number really different.! But Malaysia dealer says that the website is wrong, Ducati have no performance air filter yet... It really confuse me now ;( anyone have info helps ;( thanks

Do NOT buy an 1199 its 95% track orientated bike and i had one. It went massively wrong kept braking all the time and would NOT start. It spent most of the 6 months that i had it for in the garage. It is uncomfortable as well. The 899 is miles better its the complete opposite. I love it.

if you want the bragging rights 1199 is way to go. 899 is an excellent overall street and track power house into one. Comparable to the suzuki 750. Trust me, if you are an expert class at barber, the 750 and 899 both same hp are the best track weapon. Had both R1, Gsxr 1k, 750 and 600. You have to be a professional racer to really use the 1199 to its fullest potential at the track. Being stubborn i would get the 1199 myself lol

The 1199 is somewhat a "beast" and it comes with heat problem under the seat. So the 899 is maybe actually a revised version of 1199, only with smaller displacement. And yes, 1199 is a track bike, whereas the 899 is much like an all-around bike and a better bike to commute. I'm getting this 899 soon, loving this bike

I had a brand new 1199s model it's a beautiful bike, however it is crap to ride. Its to heavy, hurts your wrists and is NOT comfortable at all!!! The seat is rock hard. Waste of £23,000. The 899 is ever thing the 1199 is but better. Comfortable, affordable and is a nice to ride. Every time i get it out of the garage to ride it always puts a smile on your face. I would never change it for the world. 10/10 in my eyes. Get an 899 mate you'll never look back. Do not buy an 1199 you'll regret it.

Yes it came with the race up map as standard with the full termignoni exhaust system. It's 2kg lighter than the standard exhaust system and has more power in the mid and high rev range. We'll worth doing and upgrading. Sounds the part as well Sweet!

If that beast could talk in stead of grunt it would be saying 'get on me and abuse like I was built to be instead of taking pics' :) Lush bike and when they look like that you just dont want to get them dirty and I too was waiting for you to give it a little twist on the gas. Sounds nice though and best colour out of the two available id say as white with red wheels goes so well for that bike. MT 07 on way with this firmly in 2nd place for a weekend bike when got the dosh.

Hey, how did you get a FULL Termi system? I just bought a 899 here in Australia, and they only offer the slipons. They say that it already comes with high flowing headers and that there is not FULL Termi system for them only slipons, and once you chuck them on it basically becomes a full system... Any truth to this or? Thanks in advance!

Moris Pischiutta Not a chance is it. Its the best decision hes made. The 899 is clearly better than the lump of heavy weight 1198. Its 0.3 sec slower than the Panigale R round Abu Dhabi track. Looks well better too!! All the best mate

Yeah the 1198 is cool and has a nice amount of torque but it's a pig when it comes to handling and just riding in general. I've currently got that and my gixxer 600 up for sale and want a single bike replacement that I can use on the street and the track (just casual track days, no racing). The 899 fits the bill perfectly for my needs.

I thought it was the full system but it turns out its the slip on cans, Filter and race upmap which is all you need. The pipe work is exactly the same stainless steel.

It was a new bike at the time, clearly stated on the dash with only 6 miles on the clock, would you Rev it. I don't think so. Termignoni end cans still do the job

You know you can rev a new bike right? I'm assuming you got it above 2000 rpm whilst driving those 6 miles? Revving the bike up to 3-4k is perfectly fine regardless of how new - it's easier on the engine than driving it at 4k. Just 4k - that's all we wanted man!! ;)

if you ride every day to work you would have soooo much fun on this on the way to work every day and you'd look forward to the ride there and back every day. I used to ride an hour to work every day last year and i loved it. Puts a smile on your face ready for the day. so yes it is an everyday ride i've done it.

Oh no noway. I can't believe it has gone down to the metal on your tank mate. What colour have you got? I've got the white one and I have not had a problem with my paint at all. I've got venture shield on my bike so it would get damaged anyway. I would recommend this to you any day £160 saves you chips, scratches and scuffs from the road and rider use. You can search for a local dealer/fitter in your area. Get it touched up and put this on will save you loads in the long run mate
