Big thanks to the bike specialists in sheffield. Took a trip out with the mrs as exotic bike fans and we were not dissapointed.. to not only view the bikes but amazing it was to hear this exotic piece of art in person.. big thanks to the team!

V4 panis are an incredible motor too mate. I personall have a 1098 and love the thumping twins but the desmo is just a different breed altogether. An exhaust note you just can't express or come accross very often. Video doesn't even convey it if I'm honest but I didn't want to tell the bloke to rev it as it was cold.

My friend has a Termignoni race use on his '12 Diavolo Carbon,not the same thing but the sound is awesome.I ride '15 Valkyrie and my sounds like electro motor comparing to his big twin. 😂

Not to be a downer but I will say the sound is beefed up quite a lot by the cold start inside of a small room where it’s bouncing off the walls. Start a D16RR out in the open when it’s warm and, I hate to say, it’s not nearly as impressive. Back in their day (which I remember fondly), they seemed like they were these super overpowered machines, and they were, but in today’s world of top shelf bikes they really aren’t that fast or loud.

Nobodies said it was the loudest thing on the planet lol. Heck my 1098 in the garage is louder. However, the note on this v4 is second to none, today v4s sound crap in comparison. Not only that but it's a road going equiv of a tamed down gp machine which all the others are not. And regardless by saying they aren't fast? With limited electronic aids etc what do you expect? I bet the majority of riders would come off a new v4 and a desmo and the majority would say the desmo is alot more raw visciral and a much more memorable experience. To say the bike isn't impressive mate is ridiculous look at the time it came from. 200hp back in 06-08 on a bike that weighs next to nothing was and still is ridiculously impressive. Im pretty sure the desmo even has the faster 1/4 times then the v4 aswell.

@@pl-shep5137 it’s not that serious my friend and, not to be rude, but you haven’t told me anything I didn’t already know. I know that they were as close as any street legal bike has ever been to its Moto GP counterpart. I know that they are lust worthy machines and are very special. My comments were really only about the sound - that they don’t sound QUITE as good as that setting and situation made it seem (not that they sound bad or tame by any means)… and that they aren’t as otherworldly fast anymore as they might’ve seemed 16 years ago. The 200hp rating was a little generous I hate to say… even accounting for drivetrain loss. Most of them dyno between 160-170 at the wheel meaning the bhp at the crank is more likely about 190, not 200.

To say its not fast or impressive is shear ignorance on your comments behalf. And my comment wasnt to state anything that you DIDNT know.. i never said you didnt know any of it but the fact your comment came off as ignorant about the power figures and the v4 sound I had to chime in... it is impressive. It does sound amazing, yes there are faster bikes but how many road legal v4s sound like this. An rsv4 maybe sounds as good on road. But thats all. Peace.

I own one and when they are warm outside they are still incredibly loud I don't think you could pass a db test on a track day.
