Can see where your going with it now . When I got my Monster first thing I took off was the rear mud guard just makes the rear end look so different. I keep it safe they are very funny where I live when it comes to mot time they like the bike to be as original as possible .

Ha, it's one of those things that bit by bit it starts to take shape and you get the idea straight in your head. It is daunting and looking back I wouldn't like to be starting it again (although I'm doing it with the fairing again).

It will look fantastic, but maybe I’m biased! When we ran our SS800 minitwins racer, our team colours were orange and black. We had a QB Carbon fairing with exposed carbon fibre and orange graphics. It was the best looking bike on the grid, even after our first crash when we ended up repairing the fairing and painting it plain black!

For The Bold if you search inzane Laverda minitwin, you should find our website. (We ran a Laverda 650 Formula before the Ducati). Check out the gallery.

I don't like the lower cut at the front cylinder. To each his own I would cover as much of the sides with fairing as possible. Where can i get a good fairing fo an 07 Hornet 900?

Did you think about hanging fabric to make a mold for the fiberglass or carbon fiber? B is for built did it on his lamborghini... looked way easier than cutting foam! ;)
@forthebold
@forthebold 4 жыл бұрын
Not sure how it would work without a rigid shape to mould to.
@Matt281296
@Matt281296 4 жыл бұрын
For The Bold from what I understood, you make a skeleton to shape your fabric, then glue the fabric on that skeleton and impregnate it with epoxy which makes it rigid.. you can then make your fiberglass directly on it using a separating agent. I'm not sure how it would go for rounded shapes though...
@forthebold
@forthebold 4 жыл бұрын
Matt Carbonel both require the process of making a skeleton or a shape to begin with out of something like clay or foam. The option of a split mould or direct moulding comes after. Both involve carbon fibre cloth and resin. The advantage of a mould is you can replicate it time after time. But either still has to go through this process

White frame KTM orange wheels???. And remember cooling especially to the rear cylinder is very important. I would go for more side coverage ala old style and yes i'm older a day older and farting dust at 55. And yes a haaaaarrrrrd life aint nothin free

Why don't you use clay? It's easier to manipulate
@forthebold
@forthebold 4 жыл бұрын
It’s what I’m going to do. I mentioned it in the video. I use foam first to save and bulk up rather than making it all in clay. Also easier to remove to make the mould.
