Some advice those oil filter nuts are for removal only not tightening they can leak around the rivets if they are tightened with a spanner so just tighten them on by hand

Good tip but I thought I’d save myself squeazing my hand there.

tell me, please, which model of spark plugs and candle tips did you present in the video?

I would follow the book for the accurate specs for your model.

As you said, always a good idea to do the basic maintenance tune up to a new to you vehicle. Do your own research but I have heard bad things about K&N oil filters, basically the lack of filtration and prone to failure. I personally only use Wix filters if you have them over there.

Never read the bad reviews but I'll look into it thanks.

A good place to start is on here. Search for filter comparisons where they cut them open and show the construction, type and quantity of filtration.

You cut open the air box on the monster. Did you have any issues that? Rejet bc of it?
@forthebold4 жыл бұрын
It was done before I got it, but yeah it was put on a dynojet to rejet and tune

I have a question for you about the carbs on your other two bikes. Are they CV type cabs? Also the k&N pod filters did you have to modify them and or do they have that inner lip ring on the inside.
@forthebold6 жыл бұрын
The GS is slide, the CX and CB750 are CV. No lip on the K&N and no modification needed for either type of carb
@thomaswiggersmller89836 жыл бұрын
@@forthebold well, you do need to tune cv-carbs, i would recommend tweeking the main jets at 90 and 120 just like all the guides, and go from there.. but i suppose the moter will run the best without pods.. i would like som info on murray's carbs though :D seem's like thats the way to go :D!
@forthebold6 жыл бұрын
Check out my last video with Cody and myself discussing carbs on CV. We’ve gone with 118 and 85. On the CX I’ve gone 120 and 90. I was saying there’s no modification needed to the K&N air filter for either type of carb.

It looked like somebody had cut the top off the air box . Is this something you have done or was it like that when you got it
@forthebold6 жыл бұрын
I just found it like that when I was changing the air filter, Not sure if it was a garage or the previous owner, but looking at the Dynajet charts they're getting good results from the bike so I'm not too worried about restoring it.

Great job man love your channel. Love those mugs wish you had a SR500 one though. I'm in the states probably can't buy one anyway.

Don't you love all these people telling you how to manage your bikes? Hahaha gotta love those "experts" that watch all your videos, and make sure you know how wrong you're doing things.

I’m surprised no ones commented on the biggest sin of me using a G clamp to get the old filter out or not filming putting the oil in.

never tight a oil filter with a tool. always be hand...

Wasn’t put on too tight with the spanner. Just saving myself a job squeazing my hand in.
