Just adding my 2 cents, you should be installing an oil filter "hand tight" plus maybe 1/4 turn and it will prevent needing to absolutely destroy it to remove it. You should never need to use a filter wrench to install an oil filter.

Hell yeah!!! It is a fabulous machine!!! Fixing the beak , hit a deer 10 days ago and busted it up a bit 😦 punctured the oil cooler!! Pretty exciting couple of seconds 😀😀😀😀🏍🏍🏍🏍🍺🍺🍺

Very helpful. Thanks for putting this together. I haven't yet put a center stand on my 2017 Multistrada but I plan on doing so. Question: does having the rear of the bike slightly elevated when the center stand is deployed affect the oil level shown in the site glass?

I have not noticed any notable change in oil reading via the sight glass with the bike on the center stand vs wheels, so long as the bike is level left-to-right. The center stand is so worth the money!

How about the service reset? I have a 2018 1260S and have been told by a tech at BMW that it is very difficult to reset service. I should go to dealer??

Unfortunately I'm now aware of a way that notice can be reset. I've just been living with it until the next desmo service

Edit is todays word: You must assume that those that are watching do have technical/mechanical abilities. Don't be so descriptive. Also, you don't mention center stand bolt replacement in your header description. I say these things as a writer and vid guy.
