Ducati S4 Fuel Pump Replacement

Replacing the fuel pump with the tank in place on a Ducati S4 2001. The fuel pump was bought from Amazon

Hi man, what are the symptoms if the fuel pump needs to be replaced?

At the start it felt like a flat spot between 4k to 5k revs, then sometimes the feeling of running on one cylinder to on acceleration no power then all power, fuel starvation. Normally if the issues is at low revs it can be the fuel filter and higher revs the pump.
