This guy s call is alive. I always tried to get this beautiful bouncing feel. Duck come to what looks and sounds like a duck. Here duck on the saint laurence river are very call shy and you have to step up your game a bit following his tips i made stuborn black ducks break and come. Really enjoyed listening to his call

We mainly only have wood ducks on our property and I'm looking for the perfect call for a beginner for wood ducks. I'm hooked and really want to perfect my calling cause we have a ridiculous amount of ducks and I wanna be able to talk to em and all I can find are lessons on a mallard call
@ericpage10509 жыл бұрын
You find a lot of mallard call videos because most ducks even non-mallards will check out your decoys if you are good at a mallard call.
@charlieyousuck7 жыл бұрын
You can call any duck worth shooting with a mallard call. Shooting wood ducks is more about being on the X when they come off the roost. You can call them but it's not the easiest thing to do and you'll be frustrated more than you will be successful.

@TwIsTeDxGuArDx9 жыл бұрын
All depends on what you like, I personally only use timber calls cuz it's all you really need most of the time.. some good ones I use are by rnt and a echo timberwood
@TwIsTeDxGuArDx9 жыл бұрын
Idk what his call is
@charlieyousuck7 жыл бұрын
Youn don't need an "open water call". Get a call that has good tonal range from the top to the bottom end. yheres three things on my lanyard: a mallard hen call, 6-in-1 whistle and a dog whistle. That's it. Learn how to run a good single reed and you will never need more than one call. Get one without training shells that can run wide open such as RNT Original or if you're really brave get a good keyhole cutdown. Not all calls are created equal and once you take the training wheels off and learn to control your breath you'll be amazed what you can do with a good call.
