I rewatched that episode a few weeks ago & the difference in Jay Stone & in Zach surprised me. I 'thought' I'd read that everybody shaved their beards prior to the annual family beach vacation, then let it regrow in time for filming. However, many times you eat a day. Mabe, you need to accept the point your eating way too much that's why you're to the point where you have to eat healthier.
