Ducks at MHSG 2023

Something very special happened at Manchester High School for Girls over the long bank holiday weekend! Our regular mother duck chose to move her brood of 11 ducklings from our Library Garden to Platt Fields Park, via our corridors!
This annual migration has been happening at MHSG since at least the 1980s. A former member of staff even wrote a children's book about it! 'A Perfect Nest for Mrs Mallard' by Angela Cater.
