It's bit ironic, that while Della is superior pilot, her first crash lead to her losing leg. While Launchpad definitely worser as both pilot and driver between them, but he can crash at any situation, with every vehicle, and still be no worse to wear and so his passagers.

Lena’s arc is undoubtedly one of the best in this show. I loved how the nightmare episode showed her dealing with her trauma, especially when you consider she’s spent fifteen years with Magica who treated her like she’s worthless and constantly told her she was. I like the slow burn of Lena trying to come into her own and realize that she’s found friends and family that love her unconditionally, which is something that Lena deserves.

- Dewey mentions a 4th sibling named Phooey this is a reference to the Donald Duck comics where a 4th nephew appears due to error who was named Phooey by fans, & there is a story that explains Phooey as a child who would blink in & out of existence at random. Then in “A Nightmare on Killmotor Hill!” he appears with his clothes color being a reference to Dewey's original clothes color - Jones is voiced by James Adomian & in the Carl Barks comics he is Jughead Jones the short-tempered neighbor of Donald, but this version I love how he describes Donald’s anger - B.O.Y.D. Is voiced by Nicolas Cantu & the photo of him & Mark is at Lester's Possum Park from A Goofy Movie - While the title is an obvious reference to A Nightmare on Elm Street the episode poster is another reference to the poster for "A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors" - Lena's wolf form bears a striking resemblance to the one in Disney’s “The Sword in the Stone” while Louie being a cat (everyone what to be a cat) is a reference to Garfield, & Magica's candy apple form is a reference to the poison apple from Snow White & the 7 Dwarves - Cornelius Coot using popcorn to scare off the Beagles is clearly inspired by Coot's similar tactic in the comic book “His Majesty, McDuck” by Don Rosa

Hey now, a good base is _very_ important, especially in survival games. I feel a key point about Launchpad, in every iteration of DuckTales, is that he's always been a very good pilot when it comes to _flying_ the plane, it's just _landing_ (perhaps the most important part of flying) that he has trouble with. And you know the saying: "Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing."

So Phooey is a reference to mistake artists (in the original comic series) made a few times where they accidentally drew 4 triplets instead of 3. They eventually made a storyline involving a mysterious appearance, out of thin air, of 4th brother named "Phooey"

Scrooge and his family often go to places no normal pilot could fly to. The way I see it he needs a ridiculously talented pilot like Della to make it through some of his adventures without crashing But that's not an easy thing to find. So the next best thing is someone who always crashes but never kills anyone. In a universe where luck is a tangible force it makes sense to treat launchpad's record of never killing his passenger's in his crashes as something you can rely on. Unrelated note why was H-man terrified of the spiders but totally unphased by the scorpion? You guys know those are arachnids too right? I guess the scorpion was alone and looked more cartoony cause it was glowing.

The same high school (and hallway) was later re-used for "Angel Grove High School" in the first three seasons of "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers". There is a "time-skip"-esgue series featuring the nephews: 1996's "Quack Pack". It ran for one season, was HEAVILY inspired by the tone of "Goof Troop" (i.e. "'Radical '90's attitude"), and although Disney+ markets it as a "sequel" to the OG 1987 "Ducktales", that is actually false. "Quack Pack" was intended to follow the continuity of the old "Donald Duck" cartoon shorts that ran before the creation of the "Ducktales" TV show (i.e. no mention of Uncle Scrooge, Webby, Mrs. Beakly, although Professor Von Drake is in the show; Humans are present and share the world with the anthropomorphic animal residents, which was also a thing in the old "Donald Duck" shorts but got removed from the 1987 "Ducktales", as well as 1991's "Darkwing Duck" and the 2017 "Ducktales" reboot). "Quack Pack" is a bit of a divisive chapter in the fandom, as while the tone of the show is incredibly dated, it has been noted as having the most genuinely well-written and least toxic version of Donald and Daisy's romantic relationship. As for how far in the future "Quack Pack" takes place from the "Donald Duck" shorts (where the boys are between 6-8 years old), one episode has the boys asking their Uncle Donald for a car, which indicates they are old enough to drive (most fans estimate the boys are around 15-17 years old during the events of the one lone season this show ran for). "Quack Pack" also takes a similar route to the 2017 "Ducktales" reboot by giving each nephew their own unique voice, and their personalities are also unique. Fun fact: the main opening theme song for “Quack Pack” was written and sung by 70’s-80’s singer/songwriter Eddie Money.

for those wondering where the next Ducktales reaction is they're trying to release it by avoiding copyright also since they're doing 4 episodes per video and they only have 5 episodes left (the latter 2 are a two-parter season finale) i'd suggest them to release their 3 episode reaction first then the season finale reaction, i know its risky but its the least they can do.

So was Della under the expectation that she was getting her plane back? Pilot position already filled aside, that plane actually is not hers, it belongs to Scrooge and he gave it to Launchpad after she left, for years of excellent driving service, regardless of the reasons why she was gone so long, you don’t get your old position back just because you want it, especially when someone else has a valid claim to it already.

But we know launchpad is not a good driver either , and even in this series scrooge didn't know launchpad was a pilot ( even after launchpad told him in the first ep) half of his stories include him crashing things. Now is della wrong for assuming, yes. but let's not act like launchpad is an amazing driver, pilot etc he has the same dumb/bad luck Donald has to surviving.

i honestly agree there are certain things you should watch with subs vs shouldn’t, but also doesnt help yall talk over dialogue regardless but you cant keep complaining about subtitles then keep turning them on, hell they even ruin surprises of characters and dialogue if u realize its disney then its def not gonna change but i love ur context regardless ur tangents can be entertaining 70% of the time

We keep complaining because we’re more or less forced to watch with subtitles. Anytime we turn them off people have a mental breakdown. I’d love to just watch without subtitles personally
