12:11 I still love how you can tell when everyone went and what they were doing. To quote TV Tropes Mrs. Beakley returns as a pirate, complete with tricorn hat. As she appears in a painting of Scrooge, Donald, and Della fighting Captain Peghook the Ghost Pirate and his crew, it's safe to say she landed in the middle of one of their pre-series adventures. Scrooge is dressed like an Arab nobleman. His hands are positioned as though he were standing between two people and pushing them back away from one another. Scrooge maneuvered his way into wealthy status, and may have been in the middle of mediating a dispute between two other parties when the Time Tub warped him back. Word of God reveals he was T. E. Lawrence. Dewey and Webby are dressed in late-'60s garb. Dewey is lying facedown on the floor, and Webby looks like she just jumped back in response to something falling in front of her. They landed in Woodstock. Dewey tried to crowd surf by jumping off a stage and having Webby catch him. Webby, not understanding what Dewey was doing, jumped back and left Dewey to faceplant. Huey ended up in the Old West, and comes back wearing a cowboy hat and a pancho. The way he's seated when he appears suggests he was sitting on log by a campfire chatting up a gang of cowboys. Launchpad is still in the clothes he left in, only dirtier, more disheveled, and sporting more patches. His tie and hat are both missing, and he is now wearing what appears to be a scarf or cowl. The setup looks like it's for a post-apocalyptic future a la Mad Max, but given that it's Launchpad, what he really saw remains to be shown to the audience. Della shows up in full plate knight armor. Her armor is clean, she's standing up straight, and she does not appear to have any weapons, drawn or sheathed. She may have been standing before a king in ceremony when she was zapped back, and possibly about to receive an accolade into knighthood.

Della's closest relative has always been Donald no matter how you look at it. They may yell at each other every other minute, but their bond as siblings is ever so strong, so it's no wonder Donald took it hard when she disappeared. This is also why I personally believe they gave Della a chance to interact with the rest of the family for season 2 aside from Donald, because they knew for season 3 it was Donald she was going to be spending the most time with.

4 Deaths: A Lil Bulb, 2 Gyro Clones, and Melon (who can't be named due to legal reasons, as displayed by the credits and said by the creators) Their sacrifices to save Earth from the Moonvasion will not be in vain. *Fun Facts:* Don Karnage laughs at Magica as Funso makes her restate that she can't declare magical war on children and then gives her finger guns of approval. Since Darkwing is a master of slapstick, (back in the OG and it's even the case in this reboot), drunken boxing is legitimately an effective fighting style for him. He got punch-drunk and ended up taking down his enemies in that state. Louie frowned when Della said, "Don't I owe you kids a trip into space?" Despite everything and all his growth with his mom, he's still quite scarred by that being how he lost his mother the first time. The other two smiled, not having a single doubt that they wouldn't end up stranded in space with their mother like she was before. The ship that Penumbra uses to crash into Lunaris's thrusters and strand him in space is Della's original Spear of Selene, that accursed ship finally being put to rest and ending this entire space arc and all the trouble it caused. Lunaris left her behind locked up on the Moon alone when launching his invasion, and she escaped and repaired the ship since Donald had brought it back to the Moon. Of course Launchpad gains an attraction for an exotic woman who just did the most magnificent crash he's ever seen; one to save the Earth. Keeping up with his trend of having a long list of exotic ex-lovers. *Side Note:* Beakley can throw _DOWN_ The animation on that whole Killmotor Hill fight scene was glorious.

What's interesting about that Mickey Mouse watermelon head is that it is the closet the crew got to putting Mickey in the show. The DuckTales crew lobbied hard to Disney for Mickey to have a guest role in an episode, but they were shot down every time. So this was the next best thing. They even got Chris Diamantopoulos, one Mickey's current VA's, to provide the voice.

Bombie (the Zombie) is a classic character. He first appeared in Carl Barks „Voodoo Hoodoo“ where he gave Donald a cursed doll originally meant for Scrouge. In the Barks comics, he was originally send after Scrouge by the witch doctor Foola Zoola after Scrouge destroyed his village and tricked Foola Zoola into giving him the land of his tribe, two actions Scrouge would regret for the rest of his life since it played a major part in a later fight with his family, especially his two sisters, which would lead to them breaking contact for decades. After 10 years, Scrouge eventually managed to get rid of him for 30 years. Afterwards Bombie went to Duckburgh but since Scrouge looked like Donald at the time Bombie was send after him, he gave the doll to Donald instead. Though luckily at that point, the curse had expired.

FOWL is the fiendish organization for World Larceny. They had a small part in Duck Tales but a more significant in Darkwing Duck. Darkwing was supposed to be a ducktales version of James Bond and Fowl is counterpart to Spectre

Re the "Gravity Falls" influence. Some people who worked on GF worked on DT reboot, so there is a slight influence, but that video drastically overstated it. The real influence on Scrooge's character was the original comic version of him which the original series softened a lot. This version of Scrooge is more like his comic counterpart with a bit of the original DT version mixed in. Yes, Launchpad is less competent than the of DT version of him but I'm not sure if it made him like Soos. He's the same character I remember from the og just a little dumber. In reality, the og Ducktales show was a softer version of the Disney Duck comics written by Carl Barks and Don Rosa that ran from the early 40s through the 60s. This reboot is inspired by the comics and pulls from the Disney Afternoon and early Donald Duck shorts. If anything Webby is Mable as duck and Heuy is influenced by Dipper. In all the original material the boys were more of a hive mind with no personality of their own so the kids are more influenced by the humor of Gravity Falls and the idea to have overarching stories was also coming from that mindset. As someone who has watched all the early shorts and read a lot of the comics this show is a love letter to all things Disney Duck and I love it.

For the record, the original plan was for this show to have at least 4 seasons (each one with an overarching story that focused on a different kid with Dewey in the first season, Louie in the second, Huey in the third, and Webby in the fourth). It only ended up with 3 seasons because Disney decided to end the shows run (as well as cancel Owl House) so they could focus on making back money being lost with their live-action Marvel and Star Wars delays during Covid times. Because of this, season 3 will focus on Huey and Webby by focusing on the the main storylines meant for both seasons while some subplots and cliffhangers from the first two seasons will be left unanswered.

So they didn't have to give a full conclusion to the moon arc, but they planned a good bookmark for the season because that's good long form storytelling to not drag out certain plots for too long. Also, while season 3 can be uneven in spots, i actually think it has the best finale of the 3 seasons. Balancing momentum, character, and surprises just a little better than the first 2 finales.

Just a heads up (if you haven't watched season 3 yet): The Season 3 episodes are sort of out of order (they did for the fall/winter seasons, similar to Season 1). So, you should watch season 3 in this order: First, start with "The Trickening", "How Santa Stole Christmas" and "Quack Pack" in that order. Then, start with the episode, "Challenge of the Senior Junior Woodchucks!" and the rest of the episodes after that. That way, it will help keep things consistent.

YALL AIN’T READY FOR THE NEXT SEASON LMAO it only gets wilder from here but yeah the creators weren’t sure if they were gonna have another season so that’s why season 2 finale was epic and although they hoped for 4 or 5 seasons Disney said only one more which was season 3 but that’s another convo for later. They really tried hard to have Mickey in the show but they didn’t want Mickey to have like a real personality like not have him be betrayed in any bad light so Disney said you gotta be creative lol But the creators thought if they would’ve had another season they would’ve done all the power to make it happen 😭✨
