Ducky One 3 Classic - Overview and Cherry MX Type Test

Finally, I've been waiting for a video showing the black and white colors to get a better look at them! This was a fantastic video and I really appreciate the typing test on various switches for the keyboard. EDIT: WARNING - I'm reading that the One 3 series keyboards have lots of firmware and key-chattering issues on the Ducky subreddit and they still haven't been fixed since release. This is unacceptable for how much this keyboard costs and cannot recommend it.

Honestly I had hoped for better sounding spacebars, I know it's something that's hard to get right in a mass produced keyboard but for the price point I really hoped for better, love the colors of the duckies though, the yellow one is really nice.

Can you name me a mass produced board with a better sounding spacebar out of the box? Mountain, Corsair and Keychron don't deliver just to name a few. And their other switches needs a lot more lubing. It takes two minutes to fix that bar and then you are leaps and bounds ahead.

It's funny, I'm over it now, I run a keychron v1 and I'm as happy as can be, just switched out the switches for some browns and keycaps for wob. @@AB-80X

Ducky offers Cherry MX Clear - a must have for me. More “cultivated” female fingers might benefit from the softer brown switches with similar characteristics though❤

Wanted to buy the Ducky One 3 since I heard so much positiv opinions about it. Glad I found your video. In my ears it sounds bad. Much higher frequencies and alot of rattleing compared to my old original Corsair K70 RGB with MX Browns and o-rings. Seems like the Ducky casing is acting as a huge resonating body.

Hi JRabbit. No software for this keyboard. However you can change and store RGB & Macro settings using a combination of different keypresses. All explained in the manual that comes with it :)

If ur going for tactile go for brown bc clear sucks as hell its heavy as hell like a membrane board

I’m an MX Clear proponent😍 Brown is too light, black too heavy, both especially after longer typing (>20 minutes) - fingers “lose support” or hurt respectively and I start to concentrate only on how long I can “hang on”. MX blue is arguably the best typing option but I personally hate the feeling😞

What is wrong with you? No sane person uses Duckys "Year of the..." spacebars. :) Crappy rattling ABS plastic. Even feels scratchy and bad. Had my rat-bar on for 5 seconds, before switching back to the great reinforced PBT-bar. Otherwise two thumbs up for the test!

All they making reviews about this manufacturer. But nobody gives a simple information. Where those keyboards are made? If made in china, then those keyboards aren't worth that many of money.
