I suspect a player conspiracy to make the games as complex as possible in an attempt to fry Peter's brain. Make sure to enjoy a minimal brain activity game like Hearthstone on your well deserved rest day Peter.

I truly respect his (apparently conscious) decision to play uncompromising chess and push each game to a decisive conclusion. He's a legend with nothing to prove, and he's trying to have fun. That said, his results *do* sadden me, as well. At least in the Candidates he blew Aronian and a few others off the board :(

@@maciektrybuszewski9964 Yes indeed, the old Kramnik was more my kind of guy... Full respect to his new style though, and even more so for the super brave decision to transform his play so drastically as he did. I bet that was unprecedented on that level.

What an exciting game, and what a comment! Svidler is always the most professional and deep, the best.

Kramnik is "going all out"... Yes, to the most memorable losing streak for a world champion in the history of the game.

"cringe" ?! I find Peter's mannerisms pretty wholesome, actually... Your comment, on the other hand, is pretty "cringe" indeed.

Sir Alexander, I did not, believe it or not. ( *edit:* That's one of my own pet peeves with KZbin, actually - it shouldn't allow you to upvote you own comments, to avoid this kind of silly drama exactly.)
