Off-road tyres often lack the necessary markings for road use. Look for an E-mark (denoting compliance with European standards) or a DOT marking (if imported). Road-legal tyres will have a tread pattern suitable for both on-road and off-road use and must meet minimum tread depth requirements (1mm across 75% of the width of the tyre for motorcycles). 2. Lights and Indicators: Fit a headlight (dipped and main beam), tail light, brake light, and indicators. A DC-DC converter is required to step down the bike’s main battery (e.g., 72V) to 12V to power these. Ensure you have a functional relay or flasher unit for the indicators. Switchgear is also needed for lights and indicators if your bike doesn’t already have it. 3. Braking System: The brakes must be fully operational and effective for road use. If your bike has a basic off-road brake setup, you might need to upgrade to ensure both front and rear brakes meet road safety standards. 4. £1800 on sale at the mo thats mad and well worth it I just hope the more accessible lease becoming the UK the cheaper the prices will become..... I wonder if you were to limit it to 15 mph would you be able to use it on the cycle paths . Because if the police try and pull the old it's a 5000 watt motor blah blah blah it's capable of so-and-so speeds we only allow bikes on the cycle lane up to 15 mph you could quite simply say a Bugatti Veyron has over 1000 horsepower and can hit speeds over 250 mph and that still sticks to the speed limits which basically renders their 15mph law not worth the paper it is written on
