Dudunsparce is an Ordinary Pokemon. So I Buffed It

As someone who took this silly creature all the way to the post game I love these changes. The only thing I would add is giving it lightning rod as a few ground types have it already and its tail certainly fits the part of a lightning rod.

Lightning Rod would certainly be a decent ability for Dudunsparce. But the question is, what ability would be reaplced?

@awesomeraichu59342 i would probably say simple, it seems a little to overpowered for dudunsparse. Plus lightning rod is a more active ability than it’s other abilities.

Smogon’s Create-A-Pokémon project has given Hyper Drill to a Grass/Electric starter with Galvanize but Caribolt still prefers Double Edge because Galvanize Hyper Drill would miss out on some kills Double Edge gets. Just wanted to share that.

Definitely some effective yet reasonable sounding buffs. I especially like the additional Ground typing! Pure Normal never made much sense to me for Dunsparce in the first place, and Ground makes sense with all the references to burrowing in the Dex entries you mentioned. The swapped abilities also sound much more useful and still make some thematic sense. Rattled is meh, and Dunsparce can't even fully utilize it considering it's immune to Ghost already, and Run Away is literally useless as you said. Sidenote: I remember hearing a different KZbinr, I believe it was Moxie Boosted, suggest that Run Away could work like a Shed Shell in Trainer and PvP battles so that it could have some use, and I quite like that idea. Other than that, the additional suggested moves all sound reasonable as well, no notes from me. Overall, another well done set of buffs!

@@PKgiannycarlo Normal makes sense because literally what else could Dunsparece and Dudunsparce be? It also is further driving home that both snakes are pretty rare garbage. I liked Moxie’s retweak of Run Away and would want to maybe do a video dedicated to Abilities. Glad you enjoyed the video. After Tropius, Luxray is next

@@awesomeraichu59342 Yeah I definitely agree that Normal makes sense, I just also agree that it could have used a dual type like what you gave it. Abilities could definitely be a great topic to tackle in the future, as there are some, especially the early ones, that could use a second look. And I'm definitely looking forward to the future vids, especially my boy Luxray! Dudunsparce having the ground typing is long overdue. Thick Fat as an ability is my favorite addition. Not only is Dudunsparce a fat snek, but it also goes well with the new ground typing. I would argue it also deserves to learn Extreme Speed. The Tsuchinoko has the ability to double jump, allowing it to leap great distances swiftly.

interesting take on buffing dudunsparce, glad to see you didn't just slap the dragon type on it. personally i would have just dropped the speed to 49 and moved the points to HP so it can function as an alternate to Ursaluna. however i will fight that redditor in the street like a dog, justifying a subjectively weak design by saying it(and Dunsparce) are supposed to be stupid is lacking in any kind of thought or creativity

@@smurgledarf I mean Dunsparce and Dudunsparce’s who’s schtick is that they are rare Pokémon are aren’t worth the effort of obtaining. And giving Dunsparce a cool, vicious, dragon-like evolution would go against everything that Dunsparce was about to
