i just got my copy this past weekend and played it for the first time. Wow! what a fun game! as melody said, it's like heroscape. however, it has much more detail and slightly more complex. if you played action figures when you were a child, this game is up your alley. in my first game, Annie Oakley shot and killed my KGB agent Boris from 100 yards away with her sniper rifle! how many games can you say that? Super fun game!

fer yes, 2 teams, 1 to 8 players per team. I like it ... just not nearly as much as Tom.

i played this game for the first time last night never really played many board games i normally play video games but OMG WHAT A GAME!!! i am obsessed with it and i can't wait to buy my own copy of the game but i will have to make do with playing it once a week with friends lmao honestly if u want to play a board game PLAY THIS!!

Melody is such a sweet girl. Great to see daddy-daughter bonding. The Vassels seem like a wholesome family and I like that a lot. God bless them.

Looks like a lot of fun, but the amount of little bits and components is kind of a turn-off to me at this point. Hopefully I'll get around to trying it someday though.

Picked up the original version at a Game auction, looks fun . Reminds me in a way of Philip Jose Farmer's RiverWorld Series.

I think I'm going to avoid this one because I'd feel a compulsion to search out plastic minis to replace the character tokens. And lets be honest, by the time I'd finish, they'ed probably be out with DoA 4 by then.

No, there is no duplication between the sets except a few tokens. All of the characters and boards are unique.

My main gripe has to be how inconsistent the art quality is. Some of the characters and items look great, but others are ugly 3D models.

Wish they'd either do another printing or do a third edition, hugely popular game and the guy, from what I've heard, just walked away from it because he is far too busy doing other things. License it out to another company and collect royalties maybe? I want this game but damn is it hard to find and pricey.

Do you think this game would be too complex for a 9 year old who already plays Summoner Wars, Thunderstone, Smash Up, and Small World? Also, do you have any luck getting your wife to play this? I have a hard time getting my wife to play anything other than King of Tokyo.
