Good to see you back out on the wheel after the crash Duf! Took me a bit after the ET Max crash...but that was parts and not having a second wheel yet. The flat at speed can definitely resonate in your mind as a concern, and I need to make sure to check my PSI more regularly too. Glad the hurricanes didn't wreak too much havoc in your world. #return FYI - your member list screens are at least 3 months outdated...you even did a vid on having new members, then back to the old count and screens, lol ;)

Glad you arer back on it. I had the same failure a few months ago. Never thought too much about tubeless but I am now. I was lucky I was on a side walk and it threw me to some grass. I was in traffic a few min. before. I do think part of my problem was low tire pressure .

I've had a few bad crashes and been less than confident afterward. Most recently, I discovered that I have "significant bone density loss" and am also feeling a bit less confident and questioning the wisdom of continuing to ride. But while I'm still in the questioning phase, I keep on riding. With care and always with gear. Bike-friendly streets and off-road without too much high speed are best for now.

Yep if a significant accident doesn't get you to analyze your risk tolerance, nothing will

#return YA! you back to ridding again. Im glade you did not get to beat up from the fall. I check my tire at least once a week or if it feels a little squishy. I run a Shinko 244 on my Master at 34.5 psi (the .5 is for the spit you lose taking the pump off) I agree with you on the feeling a little to comfy ridding with traffic.....complacency will get you hurt in work and play and I am very guilty of it to HAHA Personally I feel safer in the road in traffic than I do on the side of the road ridding with it. 1 - there is less debris in the road than there is on the side. Nothing worse than having to jump car parts at 30+ because the traffic is far faster them me. and cant get around. I know I could slow down and jump over it at slower speeds but..... HAHAHAHA 2 - cars can see you better if your in front of them rather next to them.....one hopes they are looking forward anyway haha. traffic swapping lanes to close does sketch me out a bit , but im not out in traffic during rush hour so i tend to know whats going on around me. haha. 3 - less sand/salt on the roads than the side(more so in winter) . but thats not a worry in FL. 4 - our shoulders are beat to shit and unless your in a larger city ... no bike lanes. Im sure I can think of a few more but you get the point. every ones comfy zone is different and I get that .... and not everyone rides at 30 - 40+ mph so the above wont work for them. (i dont ride over 40 often but in the 35mph zones trafic around here is 40+ so I do it for safety (HAHA right .... i know how that sounds) and for short bursts till i can get over and let traffic by. Id be fibbing if said I did not enjoy it tho hahaha

Hey, Duff, that's quite a rear end you have:) I had a bad crash (face plant) on my roller blades a number of years ago. I had to be driven by my dad to an emergency room to have spots on my chin and above my right eye stitched. I am also certain I had a concussion, but not having medical insurance at the time, I mentioned nothing of my dizziness to the doctor and nurse who took care of me. Yet I did have sense enough to spend the night at my dad's house so he could check me during the night to make sure I did not go comatose. The first time I got back on the blades, I felt as you did, much more aware...I also will admit, a bit scared. I thank God the prayers of many were answered as Florida did not receive the disaster predicted! #Return

rollerblades still scare me man, i used to bomb hills on them but I got on them again recently and they feel so unsafe. Especially over any sort of road debris.. just feels like a fall waiting to happen.
@davidlinscheid232123 күн бұрын
@@0xsergy I'm with you, friend, but it was a thrill to fly on those blades! We don't have any real "bomb" hills where I live, but there is a rather long down hill stretch just outside my small town. The speed you could reach was was exhilarating and yes. a bit terrifying.

What are your thoughts on the Pidzoom mirror? Yea I push on the tire with my thumb and I can usually tell by feel if it needs air. One nice thing about wearing padded shorts is they offer more cushion for seated riding lol

I'm still mystified as to what led to you crashing Duf. I couldn't see an obvious root cause that someone with your skill level wouldn't have been able to handle... I'm a little freaked out how quickly things snowballed into complete chaos. I'm so relieved to see you out on your Patten, apparently no worse the wear. I ride a Lynx and ET Max.

The inner tube ripped by the valve stem causing instant pressure loss. The wheel felt like I rolled onto ice.

Do you think the issue you had woth the valve stem was because of low tire pressure considering you don't check them? Might be worth getting a tire pressure monitor.

Maybe but based on the amount of people that have identical failures with stock Begode tubes, maybe not

Can't stop, Won't stop. Keep slipping (rolling) into the future! Consider this, It shouldn't take a injury to dial in safety i.e. rearview mirror, butt/hip pads and elbow pads, but you're still missing motocross shoes and your pickle ball paddle. Try this, use hydrocolloid to recover and you'll be hooked on it more than getting DD or WaWa in the morning after a killer hurricane, you'll be stocking up on it more than robinhood. #nofear #return
