The most influential harpist in the blues history was born on this day 107 years ago in Madison County, Tennessee, US. Remembering John Lee "Sonny Boy" Williamson who was born on this day back on 1914. The blues harmonica simply wouldn't be the same without this man Legacy. Little Walter, James Cotton, Junior Wells, just to named some harmonica giants, but any bluesman that play the harmonica ... they are all under this man big shadow! His Legacy can't ever die. Thank you Sonny Boy !
@donjose6674 Жыл бұрын
This isn't John Lee Williamson, this is Rice Miller. Him being "the most influential harpist" is thanks to identity theft, and you fell for it. The original Sonny Boy was both a better player and a better man.
@cyndik9921 Жыл бұрын
@@donjose6674ditto!! Aleck Miller taking John's nickname and becoming a "II" seems wrong. But hey, very cool Marion Jacobs only harp player in Rock n Roll hall of fame 👍
@bigpooter977111 ай бұрын
yes this isn't the original sonny boy, but you are indeed on crack if you think he isn't any better. this guy wipes the floor with the original. not discrediting the original, because he for sure is someone to be reckoned with and may have been a better person. it is foolish to say that sonny boy II is not as good as sonny boy I. perhaps if sonny boy I wasn't murdered the script may be different. @@donjose6674

Well, if we're all honest here, the R&R Hall of Fame is a joke. Let's all just appreciate his impact on not only us, but also the world. He brung people together, that's how music works. It's a universal language that people seem to forget nowadays. Sonny demonstrates the TRUE meaning of what music is supposed to be. For actual musicians, they don't really care about the money.
