Do we know WHEN that photo of Optimus was taken? We know it was taken after Issue 4... My guess? Issue 6. Why? Because he's using BOTH his Ion Blaster and Megatron's Fusion Cannon together, facing straight at something. It might be Devastator. NEVER again, as far as I remember, does he use them together facing straight in a panel in a subsequent issue. And to top it all off? Devastator himself would've grabbed someone's attention. Who would not notice a COMBINER, SCREAMING in rage? Who would not hear the blasts? Who would not notice Thundercracker firing at the Autobots? Who would not hear the Constructicons combining? Who would not hear Optimus practically YEET Devastator over the mountain? And most importantly, who would not hear "The Touch" randomly start blasting out of their radios?

You're judging way too early my friend. It isn't “G.I Joe” yet. This is an origin story focusing on Duke and G.I Joe coming to be. So you wouldn't see any of the cool stuff G.I Joe has yet.

Awesome job kid! .. But seriously man? .. "Mass transference".. Hardly ground or spacebridge tech! ;) .. I turned 45 today, and still remember this correlation from when I was 5 years old.. C-mon.. You're better than that! .. Oh, also.. As cool as the Energon Universe is.. The Joe part (as with every one of my Sat. mornings as a kid, and even if you're a fan) is & will be the stupidest & weakest part of all the 80's stuff they're trying to put into this awesome series, and will fuck it up.. Guarantee it will get idiotic... :( ..
