Pretty great mod overall. The new weapons and enemies are really fascinating. Although I would like to see some more ammo drops because I was constantly running out. The lost souls replacing the drones is overall good, but they should explode when they hit you like the drones did. Now they're even more annoying to deal with than the drones with even smaller hitboxes.

They are not a replacement, the REAL drones are nin ep 2 and 3. They're the Snakeheads from the beta/alpha prototypes. You haven't seen hell yet!!

yes I miss Duke too, but a new duke nukem game in this generation would be adapted for new audiences, which means it will be complete garbage, not least because politically correct and duke nukem are on opposite sides, Duke Nukem is a symbol of testosterone and masculinity straight out of the 90s, and that's an insult to this weak generation, so better leave duke nukem alone! at end Duke Nukem lives in hearts of they fans! @@edifreitas6567 I disagree, Duke Nukem is still a symbol and there's no problem in that, but he is more than that, the focus should not be on him being the ultimate guy that gets all girls and shit like that (like duke nukem forever did), he's a hero, he has saved earth multiple times, he's like the Doom Slayer but with one liners and less demonic. Duke Nukem CAN live in this world, people, despite of his attitudes, would still respect and love him. We just need someone who trully understands the character to not make him an idiot again!

Duke '24 !! Looks like an excellent MOD. Is the new shotgun just a re-skin or is it legitimately a double barrel with double damage per shot like in Doom? And did I see some type of blue plasma machine gun ???

Thr new shotgun is a regular shotgun, weak but precise, good for medium range shots. The old shotgun is now called Double Shotgun, it's very strong at close range and has an alt fire mod which shoots twice extremelly fast, very helpful in extreme situations, even at medium range with a group of alien bastards, due to its number of shots! Hail to the King, Baby!

The plasma rifle is an equivalent of the shotgun, its normal oode is a burst fire of plasma, but it's alt fire mode can shoot a bigger plasma projectile which can stun an enemy or group of enemies, fiving you the time to blow them up properly!

Soo much could be done with Duke 3D. The Anniversary World Tour is a joke compared to the Atomic Edition, which he took down. Life's a Beach was so fun.

I highly recommend adding the alternative ammo types that were shown in those leaked beta videos. and in future updates maybe add some additional smoothness to the unholstering animation for the alternative rocket launcher so it looks less, sudden I guess? Along with the addition of Beta Gotham in the soundtrack.

I tried alternative ammo, but since there was the alternate weapon option, it was too much for a player to handle (user experiencie), I wanted somethingn simpler to be played and remembered. I grew up with the Duke, so I was anticipating something great when clicking this trailer, but I came out of it more confused than interested. I think it's just because I'm not exactly sure I understand what this mod does in detail? I get it's a rebalance but... Maybe it's like Sonic frontiers where it's just very difficult to showcase. (I don't have the means to give the mod a try right now. Moving in two days.)

It's much more than that. It mixes elements from alpha/beta versions like enemies and weapons with the actual roster. It adds a score system, making the game more "arcade" and rebalances all of this to make the game not only harder but replayable as well. There's a remixed soundtrack as well and new boss fights, mainly the Cycloid Emperor battle which is more strategic now. This mod is a re-tell of the original game, making it mor modern. Overall a cool mod but I have some nitpicks: 1. The new shotgun feels underpowered, it needs to be buffed badly. Also did you nerf the number of shells in shotgun shell pickups? That's no fun. 2. I don't want to get arthritis in my finger semi-autoing the pistol. I know the alt fire is automatic but this just makes the pistol suck. 3. The bob with the kick is disorienting. I'd like an option to get rid of that. 4. I don't get why some secrets have their drops changed (like the pipebombs in the theatre lobby of e1m1, why just health pickups?) 5. Biggest gripe: Why are you gatekeeping cheats on come get some? You are one sweaty mfer, if I want to cheat just let me cheat.

Well, that's why there two shotguns, one weak but precise, and another powerfull but unprecise. About the pistol, makinf it fully automatic made it ackward as it is, that's why I kept it semi. About the bob, I'm thinking about disalbing it on the next update. The first episode, all levels (except the last one) are all from the 0.99 beta, that's why they are different. Well, about cheating on come get some, you are too good to be cheating

Played the first 3 levels on Let's Rock, and I gotta say it's interesting for sure. Just kinda seeing this mish mash of Duke new and old is fun, but it really didn't do to much for me ultimately. I'm going to finish the first episode at the very least and see if my opinion changes, but so far it's just okay. Ammo also does seem to be pretty scarce and I found myself using DMF for a bit in the second stage. By the end of the third stage I ended the level with a nice surplus of ammo. I can only imagine how much of a pain in the ass the game is on Damn I'm Good. I'm not out to bash this mod or anything like that just giving a bit of insight from what I experienced which admittedly was not much because again as stated earlier I only played the first 3 levels. So this comment may be a bit premature but I think it can also help show how some initial reactions to the mod are being seen.

Great mod with lots of potential, but in ver 1.1 the difficulty balance feels off. I was struggling through Ep. 1 even on Piece of Cake. I think the enemy aggressiveness is fine, but the damage dealt is too high.

​@@marcolino123 Thanks for the response. I think the article that brought me here kind of lead me to believe this was more of a remake of the game, rather than a mod. I think the idea of making the game harder for veterans is very cool, especially when you consider the fact that FPS games at that time were largely made for people to play with the keyboard, only, especially prior to Duke3D. When people started using the mouse for looking, and started using strafe keys, their skill in FPS games really surged. So, it's good to have FPS games of the time re-balanced for that greater capability of the player, that is common now. Thanks for your work on this!

I would love to try it with Duke3D completely voxelized. Cheello is doing an awesome job with Doom 1 and 2 voxelization. I hope people will completely voxelize Duke3D as well. I look forward to trying Duke Nukem 3D - Legacy Edition! But it will probably be several weeks before I get to it.

Duke Nukem pretty much died with forever and Duke's creator pretty much lost all rights and everything to his game and 3D Realms is now gone for good, Don't get me wrong I like the Duke Nukem Games the last Kick ass Duke Game ever produced was Manhattan Project which came with A Duke Nukem logo Subway token Collectible item That I can put on my key Chain which I still Have BTW never really used it. I miss Duke but I think it's pretty much over now unfortunately.
