I'd love a reboot that starts the character off as just a regular CIA agent with a bad attitude sent in to stop Dr. Proton & as the game progresses we see him slowly become the world renowned hero who can justify an autobiography called "Why I'm So Great". Like seeing him put on the shades for the first time would be an awesome moment.

Duke Nukem Forever isn't as bad as everyone made it out to be, in my opinion. I enjoyed quite a few play-throughs. Yes, there is valid criticism. The end boss was rushed (seriously, a repeat of the first boss?) some of the jokes missed their mark because of the long development time, and going for 2 weapons to compete with Halo (again because of the long development time) was dumb. But rescuing babes by shooting invading aliens with a 12 gauge shotgun and then playing with boobs? I mean, that's what Duke Nukem is about. The level design will never be as genius and classic as Duke Nukem 3D, but I still think the game was much better than people made it out to be.

@@Gingersockman That's the 1996 game engine, which still relied on BSP and sprites. By 1998 everyone had already moved on to polygons for both the environment and characters. Maybe it ought to be done with the Turok or possibly Half-Life engine.

Duke Nukem Forever as a Half-Life 1 mod would be cool! Sure, we have Half-Nuked, but that just puts Duke Nukem weapons in the original campaign. But what if somebody did a remake of early Duke Nukem Forever in the GoldSrc engine? Considering the similarities between engines.

they made the Duke Nukem Forever 2013 mod which is everything from the '98 and '01 versions into a Duke 3D mod. You can download it online but you have to have Duke Nukem 3D atmoic edition

If I didn't know better, I'd swear this was some homemade cover, with some writing tweaks. Kinda sounds like the guitars are buried under a mountain of reverb and bass, while everything else comes through clear. Makes it clash with itself, in a way; and the Duke voice snippets seem random and off-putting. Still, it's virtually impossible to fuck up Grabbag, and this still rocks in its own way.
