Fun fact: E1M1's theme appears to have been inspired by Megadeth's Angry Again, which was used in the Last Action Hero soundtrack (A definite testament to the action movie heavy metal soundtrack influence) and on their Hidden Treasures EP. Megadeth later covered Grabbag and released said cover, aptly titled Duke Nukem as a bonus track for the Japanese release of Risk and later here in the US on their compilation album War Chest. The cover even got used in the final version of Duke Nukem Forever and a lot of the promotional material for it. In a way, you could say Megadeth and Duke Nukem inspired each other.

Good review, playing this now using the fanmade rigel engine. It feels so much better to play when you don't have to stop all the time to not get hit. Still has some issues with cheap hits and blind jumps, and the lack of a weapon inventory annoys me but it's a decent game overall.
