This is why Nick Sabin got out of college football. NIL, the boosters, and the collective are off the hook and out of control! The NCAA may as well as be an organization to oversee “semi-professional” collegian sports. And the transfer portal is a joke! It used to be that you had to sit out a year or you had to get a special waiver or transfer to a lower division to play right away when you changed schools. Now, you can hop in the portal every year if you like. I’m not touching the NIL cause I know there isn’t much you can do about that..but with the transfers, you can. I think players should only be allowed to transfer once, without losing a year of eligibility. That way, it will add more stability to the rosters. Otherwise, a team that may win the national championship, and have say 22 seniors graduate, could have a significant number of underclass student athletes leave the program cause they want to play for a contender. The NCAA needs to fix this sooner than later.
