Becoming a good trader takes time and patience. When i first got into trading i was liquidated twice, and lost my entire mortgage deposit. I could have given up, but decided to learn how to trade and put it into practice. 4 years later and i am glad i made that decision.

I agree, that's the more reason I prefer my day to day invt decisions being guided by a invt-coach, seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time both employing risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, coupled with the exclusive information/analysis they have, it's near impossible to not out-perform, been using a invt-coach for over 2years+ and I've netted over 1.5million

Or did you do analysis before you recorded the video on things such as the higher time frames being bullish/bearish, I know that stuff means less on the 5 minute?and you had full confidence to jump in that trade. Who knows it may suit you better. Never know untill you try looking forward to following your journey!

Tori this is the best video ever!! Thank you for sharing! Just a quick question: you don’t “sort” your trendlines by timeframe importance? For instance an D1 has more value than a H1… Or as soon as the price breaks a trend line with confirmation you enter in a position?

This is like Multi Time Frame Analysis Trading. But Don't you think it's so much confusion to decide if there will be opposite trend happening in different time Frame. So, then it would be so much complex. What you say Tori??

30m and 5 min but always wait for candles to close. I used to trade 4h but got feed up of holding for days only to end in BE. I now lower the risk and have more opportunities

I agree that there are strategies that could be put in place for solid gains regardless of economy or market condition, but such executions are usually carried out by investment experts or advisors with experience....

Wouldn’t placing a small upward trendline where the green wicks be a good idea to allow confirmation of the short trade before jumping in?

The 5M is just tough. The volatility is insane. But with the 4H the RR is much much better and the movements just seem more predictable and less volatile

You're amazing! I've just found your channel recently, and immediately switch to your strategy, which I was already very fond of (I love simplicity). In just under 2 weeks, my results are up dramatically! Thank you very much, and wish you all the best!

I agree with you 100%, because I also bounce between time frames, maybe less now, but of course it happened... but one thing it means is that if you trade for 5 minutes and then switch to 30 minutes, most often it turns out that what you observed for 5 minutes is often a fake out

When making money becomes boring lol smh The 2hr frame is my favorite, I also use the 4hr for extra confirmation. For us 9 to 5ers anything faster is too risky, risk brings losses.

Hey Tori! I’ve been in quite a loop of strategy switching and I’ve stuck with trading on FVG’s but taking it back to simple trendlines looks intriguing! Quick question, why do you draw trendlines for so many timeframes when most if not all of the time you’d focus on only the 5 minute? (I trade 5 minute as well). And how many touches should a drawn trendline have? I just don’t want analysis paralysis trying this strategy😅
@SJ-qf4mj4 ай бұрын
I trade the 5 mainly, or the 15 fairly often as well. But I always recommend people getting into trading to use the 2 minute to start. If they get their plan/rules in place and have or are practicing a strategy they’ll see it occur quite a bit more than they will on the 5 or any other higher time frame. Yes, the profits won’t be as big as they would on a bigger time frame, but the losses should be smaller assuming they have risk management. That way it’ll help them survive the game long enough to find their edge and create discipline.

Thank you Tory! I am new to futures, but I love using trendlines. I hope to see more of your live trades. I also have been using the 5 min TF, and it is most comfortable for me. I enjoy swing trading but am not great at it yet. I am trying to learn. I prefer just overnight swings and out. Any suggestions?

I haven’t met anyone who can print out different time frames without a label and know what time frame they are looking at. I’ve tried and I can’t. Do what is comfortable for you. And don’t worry about what any other trader may think of your moves.

I trade options on the 1 minute, with the tape as well. But a lot of my setups are still based around bigger picture on the 1h, 4h and daily. The wind in the sails so to speak. The bigger moves are the same thing as the smaller candles. I mean this in the most literal form. The smaller candles zoomed out tells you the exact same story as just compressing all that into less candles. In that sense all time frames to an extent are the same depending on your perspective. My thing is use all them at once and if your trade is less than like 20 minutes or so probably best (at least for me) to mainly reference the 1m because it’s just more Information quicker about the story the price action is telling. I think you can get tighter exits on profitable trades too vs waiting for a 5 minute to move/ the range it can take up in that time. This is just what works for me. I don’t think anyone is wrong if they like what they do. But I just watched 2 minutes so far and wanted to say this haha

Practicing trading, and experimenting recently with trading the 1 min, with a 15 min time frame window for reference. Seems like I trade better at the 1 min, but I've only been doing it 1 day so... inconclusive atm.

I stopped day trading - too up and down/hit & miss/kneejerk emotional -- ironically, I started out swing trading and just started back exclusively swing trading again....that's mainly why beginners who start out day trading lose/blowup their trading accounts with limited capitalization. MCL would be better to trade then MES or MNQ to start out swing trading with limited capital (hint: CL/MCL trades counter to the Big Dow = if Big Dow has a down day or run = MCL will have good day/run 92% of the time)...just follow the trend lol......plus you burn yourself out day trading = it can be just exhausting after 5-6 years!
