Owned this bike for a year and i love it! So comfortable and reliable and fun to ride. wouldn't really want to tour it too far. So cheap to run and insure too. I get about 83-84 miles to the gallon in real life riding conditions. Its a joy to own. I do sometimes envy the big boys Honda cb650r or cb1000r for that extra torque . Most people, cars and bikers assume you are only riding a 125cc as it looks almost identical and get a shock when you spank them or at least keep up with them on the road. The only slight issue with this bike is having to shift through the low gears very quickly as this can get a little tired on busy city rides. Stay happy and stay safe out there Brothers and sisters.

I own a variety of bikes including this one, and I gotta say it is solid in that it is reliable for 10s/100s of THOUSANDS of miles for 80+MPG even for 200+lb riders. Change oil, tires, lube chain, that’s it. However, it feels a little jumpy even for a seasoned throttle hand. Also has a comfortable stance but seat becomes stiff (for my precious butt at least) on longer rides. *Will perform well in twisties*

@@joshmai8462 statements like that is what makes me hate other motorcyclists. A 300cc can go way beyond the speed to kill in an accident. Dont equate engine size with entry level. And entry level doesnt mean beginner rider. Entry level reflects the cost and build of a motorcycle. Beginner rider reflects the experience of a rider. I wouldnt consider this cb300r as a entry level bike because it's not cheaply built. But it is good for beginner riders because it's easy to ride. Either way, it goes well beyond the speeds to die if something goes wrong.
@joemann79714 жыл бұрын
@@impc2505 While a 300 cc engine can still kill you, its far more forgiving of rider error than a 650 or 1000. You whiskey throttle on one of these, you get your heart racing, but you can regain control of the bike by pulling in the clutch. You do that with a 650 or a 1000, you'll get thrown off the bike. If you're already going fast, a 1000 will easily hit triple digit speeds in no time. A 300 will struggle to get to 100 mph even of it's capable of doing so. By "it wont get you killed" should be rephrased "minor rider errors wont get you killed on this bike"

Have to agree that the CB300R is a little gem having already owned 2 of them. The engine is so willing and smooth for a little thumper. I've owned many big and small bikes over the years and this one was the one that surprised me the most. It is a very capable machine! For smaller light weight riders, you will have a blast on this bike, especially on twisty country roads. It lacks the Duke 390 Power but personally having owned a 2017 Duke, the Honda wins for me as I personally like to keep my teeth in my mouth rather than spitting them out after a ride on the Duke. Plus 20mpg extra is very appealing. In terms of image, the Honda is great too. I like the Duke 390 but it has a 'Graffiti' image, whereas the Honda has more of an understated by still very classy image. Premium touches round off an amazing little bike that even the most experienced riders will enjoy.

Oh my that looks sweet. I have the 650 version, but I can tell how awesome this would be for an entry level bike, especially when compared to others in the market. Personally, that color scheme is *****/ 5 stars, and the exhaust makes it seem like a "bigger" bike, and makes the aesthetic look complete. Lastly of course, and it goes without saying for any Honda bike, is the Honda manufacturing. Reliable and smooth. It's funny, because you'd expect that if something is known for being reliable and smooth, it'd be expensive. But no, Honda may be a little more expensive than the others, but not that far off from them, but the quality is fucking top notch. I guess my only gripe is the turn signals, I may like it more to be a little lower than that... it kinda looks like an insect coupled with the display lol.

Hi man. Should I buy the 300r or the 650r as my first bike? I think the 300 might be a little small and I also love the sound on the 650r... I can't decide 😅

How much does it cost? What are the extra charges? Basically how much it costs to take this bike to home in US? And what is the yearly insurance like? Pls reply

Just about to put a down payment on this in India, can’t wait to own it. I think you said a lot of things I thought myself. It’s a bit more expensive here compared to the completion but honestly I don’t mind spending that bit extra. The way it out made me feel at ease immediate was just a big draw for me. Only concern is it is a little down on power to something like a Duke but then again a few mods (filters, new sprocket, remove the side guard we get only in India and a new exhaust should help add 2-3 bhp and torque. Excellent review cheers mate!

I rode the 125 version when getting my license. (In Norway you have to take a driving exam thing) and it was an awesome bike, but when the "watcher" sat on the back, it ended up being a little slow..... (As every 125)

I kind of want one of these. I almost want to trade in my 2 current bikes (which I have had for a long time and am getting bored with) in on one. I have ridden for long enough to realize that I am not a long distance type of rider. . . .I use a car for that. I like a nice light and nimble bike that is fun around town.

Which bike do you prefer the duke 390 or cb300 also I am 6ft and 205pounds so which do you think would be best
@Raez_XL5 жыл бұрын
I have a Duke 390. The power delivery is so aggressive vs the Honda. If you want to have fun, go with the Duke (which has about 10 more horsepower).

I don’t know that I’d keep calling it an entry level anything. I’ve been riding since 1985. Each bike like a tool has its use. There are 600’s that could be used as first bikes. This is more of a commuter/ day rider that has a lot of uses. Entry level should be kept to 125cc bikes. My first street bike was the 1985 Kawasaki 600r ninja and that make a fine bike to start on having ridden dirt bikes all my life.

Was debating between this and the grom, going mostly for the grom glad you agree
