Hey Duke, one of the original "Chosen Few" here. It looks like New World is really giving you a lot to base content on, good for you man. I first heard about this game when it was still barely a concept, it caught my interest and seeing your videos in my notifs and feed sure helps fuel that. Definitely want to check it out sometime and I plan on getting into your videos on it when I do. I was curious, however, if you'd seen the newest god to be coming to Smite? She releases on the 19th, and I'd imagine you'd really enjoy her in the PTS right now. Other than that, just wanted to say "Ahoy," and glad things look to be doing well for you. Animation cancel-- when you activate Berserk on hatchet instantly press block. It will cancel that Long Berserk animation.

Hi Duke, awesome video's. just wanted to point out about the weapon swapping and buffs. That if you have the healing trait on defiant stance and u swap weapons it will instantly give you the health because of the end of buff perk.

Ahoy Duke! Right now I’m playing bow/musket & rapier build and I’m not sure if it’s known but you can preload a powder burn shot, swap to bow and swap back and still have it preloaded. I will engage at long range and once they come into mid range I find cover and switch to bow or vice versa if they are running away. It’s extremely dynamic and very strong! I was wondering if you’ve seen anything like it. Keep up the great work!

Quick top tip. Amber gem is broken and currently isn't scaling correctly. Is scaling from weapon instead of focus and is giving 20% instead of 30%/40%/50%.

12:42 to give this a term its called “Incapacitate” where it stuns but will stop upon dmg. Its used in Dota and WoW

@@TheHornedKing ah we call those sleeps. think the main difference is Incapacitates in wow do dmg initial but then get woken up. Sleeps do no dmg but also can get woken up.

Hey Duke, what's your take on heavy vs light armors when it comes to PVP? I'm using heavy and it feel like a heavy rock vs all the guys that roll all the time

Rofl, yeah you trade that mobility for becoming an indestructible object that can just waddle towards someone and if you have any form of CC that you can connect with kill them. Anyhow, it comes down to what you enjoy playing, but as of right now, heavy armor and survivability is an issue in PvP and will, for sure, get tweaked in the future.

The absolute best tip to playing ranged is learning how to play like an annoying cunt. Kite kite kite. Always run away, and when your opponent starts running you chase. Be mindful of your position. Never engage in close quarters without heal and Stamina and /or cc ready. If your opponent starts hiding then you just wait. You control the fight, not them.

11:16 My biggest complaint about PvP with a bow. This is ridiculous. There should be an animation for the sudden change in direction where the character doesn't just flip 180 like gravity and momentum doesn't exist.

I havent lost a single duell since equipping life staff. People get kinda mad when they realise that a single hot outheals their entire damage rotation lmao. Even vs people 20 levels higher. Game for sure needs more anti healing spells

Duke, not sure if you're aware, but some GPUs are getting killed by New World. I think it's exclusively RTX 3090s, but may want to be careful, possibly warn viewers too

I have a tip for people who wanna do the first dungeon: Craft or buy Common Lost coating and use either slash or stike weapons to do normal and higher damage, and stock up on a lot of healing

Good pvpers don't use pots, I only use them if the other guy does. It's dishonorable. And it's admitting your weak/losing. Save Pots for when your jumped, or out numbered, not 1v1's

@@JROCThaGreat eh no? A loss is if you actually die. If I manage to heal myself and kill the opponent, then I win. And he looses. I walk away with the loot. He doesn’t. Noone cares about honor in a fullblown PvP fight. Duel, perhaps. But otherwise no. :) And a good PvP’er is someone who utilizes his ENTIRE arsenal at his disposal - including heal pots, mana pots, etc.

i come from Tarkov, where you use every advantage to win a pvp engagement (stealth, agression, high tier gear, high tier ammo, nades , heals / stims) you best believe im using a pot to win a fight, unless its a duel
