Great job on your channel...no disco just very straightforward....I found this brand on AliExpress and then found your channel...I bought a different version that was on sale for $59USD and your coupon code did not work but your authentic impressions were enough for me to make a purchase. I bought this mostly to shoot videos of various watch lume and with the watch moving it is more interesting...or, I hope it is...hahahahahaha

I've been looking at a winder for a while so good to get someone's opinion who knows about watches.

I've not used a winder before. These look ok. I hadn't considered one for after servicing a watch, thanks for the idea. Cheers!

Glad to help. I’ve used the 6 arm one for a few years. I start the watches a little first either with a shake or a wind. Then stick it on the winder for a few days and then check the watch on the TG. If it gives a strong amp and still accurate I know the automatic works are doing their job

Look nice. The actual function and test of the winding mechanics can be manually, visually checked during service. If you don't always wear the watch, I prefer to allow it to rest so as to keep the pivots and such from undue wear. Plus, you get to use the setting features when you decide to use it. That way you are occasionally checking the crown, stem and cannon pinion friction.... 😊

Appreciate your comment but I’ve been to many professional watchmaker businesses and all of them are testing watches on the 6 spoke or similar winders . Visual is not a sure fire way. In fact I’ve had many Seiko SKX and similar 7S25/36 look fine but fail to pass the test.

Interesting gadget, but perhaps incorrectly, I let my auto watches run down and 'rest' until I want to wear one. -- - just curious - what is that item on the very top of your bench, almost out of shot, that has a bar-graph moving across a wide screen?
@mywatchreviews7 ай бұрын
The gadget must be my laptop as it’s capturing the audio . There is no voice over in this one it’s all live. Letting your watches run down is fine and pretty normal to be fair. Winders serve a purpose to maintain power and be also aesthetically pleasing .

Imagine having 28 of them humming :)

Maybe the 12 hour pause is supposed to simulate a wearer's sleep cycle or something.

Just seems a very odd thing to be happening
@waynesellers40787 ай бұрын
Probably so it only runs in the day and is quiet at night

i was thinking the same thing. it's the only reason it makes sense to stop for half a day.

Squeak? If your watch squeaks dunk it in oil, works a charm!

The winder squeaks badly

What is the power supply, USB, mains, transformer plug, UK style plug or two pin?.
@mywatchreviews7 ай бұрын
It is a USB lead but comes with the right plug for your country too.
