The hose bib coming out the electric panel is great idea. They'll be able to easily drain out all the electrons after voltage surge. Most panels are sealed up tight and the electrons just accumulate at the bottom. 😁

My brother-in-law was a building inspecter ... Then a plan's reviewer.. And then the head of the department... I've heard many stories where he would cringe when he went to building sites in the Olympia area.... I remember the countless stories he would tell me. So when we built his house.. It was built Kung Fu tight Enjoy your videos

If were just building a small house 600 sq feet, how to keep plumbing out of exterior wall. Bathroom has interior walls but kitchen doesnt Straight up out of the foundation to the sink?
@PPG19677 ай бұрын
You can keep plumbing out of the exterior walls with minor layout modifications

WTF, love it. water the ground rods, sheetrock will never cover some of this stuff. A stairway to no where, even better than a switch that turns on nothing. If you didn't laugh the home owner would cry.

Where do we find the code information specific to a county, they dont really post it on the internet. My county say they follow IBC. When you show a mistake can you also show where in the code they describe correct construction?
@PPG19677 ай бұрын
Whatever state you're in, just Google adopted building codes.

That dryer receptacle box is WAY too low. If I'm not mistaken (I'd have to check my '23 NEC), but those are supposed to be ~48" above the floor? Same with washing machine recep...? And if the plans showed a laundry room against that exterior wall, why did they frame it with 2x4's? Should have framed that wall as a "plumbing wall" using 2x6's or even 2x8's (that's typically what I've seen done. Also... a "load-bearing" wall with studs on 24" centers? Who builds stuff like this? 😂😂 Thanks for posting... The $hit you find in the field! 🤣🤣

I don't believe there's a height requirement for that dryer receptacle box...per 2020 NEC
@Calico5string19628 ай бұрын
@@PPG1967 I think you're right... no specific height requirements for and receptacles (except above kitchen counter and other "work" platforms). Nonetheless, I've always set laundry recep's (washer & dryer) well above the floor, to allow plugging-in the appliance after it's in place. Nothing worse than trying to get behind a machine - in a sometimes small laundry space - to plug it in near the floor, then manage the cord while shoving it back in place! 😲 BTW, I'm retired, but been doing electrical for over 40 years (primarily industrial & commercial). Still doing "side jobs" though.😉 Thanks again!
