About the underlining thing: it links to the phone calendar automatically so you can set a reminder for an event

To answer your question about the underlining, some phones literally just do that automatically and you don't have control over it.

The underlining thing usually happens so you can add an event to your calendar or like to a phone number to add it to your contacts of whatever. Trust me, you have no control over your phone doing that.

I've found that after I send a text that includes a timeframe or a date, after it is sent, it gets changed automatically while sending. I don't know if this only happens to certain cell phone providers, but I notice it on my Samsung phone. 🤣 My mother in law does that speech to text thing, and she actually says question mark, but it'll change to a question mark, so I don't know how that happens for you, and I guess not for others 🤷‍♀️ I keep auto correct off, lol. I get in enough trouble, sometimes just by saying happy birthday or congrats to someone..... yea, there's weird people who'll get so mad they'll up and move away by folks saying congrats on their first born baby 🤷‍♀️.

Actually, about the autocorrect thing, it also doubles as a spell checker. And since it's "auto" the words are "corrected" soon as you hit the space bar. You don't always have to have words that you've already used for auto correct to change everything in your text.

It does tend to favour words it knows you've used, though. Mine has taken to changing "actually" to "avtually" and "because" to "bevause", because my fat little fingers have spelled them wrong so many times that my phone thinks that's what I want 🤦🏻

"How do people underline?" I'm not sure for Android devices but I know it's a feature on iPhones. iPhones automatically set dates, times, addresses, and phone numbers received or sent through text message as links that open the Calendar, Clock, Navigation, and contacts apps respectively.
