I've been playing the new Fossil Deck, and I can tell it has the same effect on people. They combo off and give me all the materials I need to go into an OTK with their own monsters. The amount of rage quits is pure bliss.

A Stone Statue of the Aztecs deck is what I used in the N/R festival. I basically used a bunch of high defense monsters with traps and hand traps that increased defense and let people attack into my monsters. And it worked.

You should play Slifer Monarchs and run triple "Precious Cards from Beyond," the true continous spell pot of greed, I've got a decklist that I've tried to optimize the best I can for you if you or anybody wants it. Also, running 1 Caius is amazing as most decks require some form of dark attributed monster to play.

why would you not run magic cylinder in this? I understand it's not a great card, but in this deck it works.

If your goal is to make your opponent attack into your high def rocks, running Magic Cylinder (which negates the attack) is basically wasting all the cards you put in to maximize battle damage from your opponent attacking your rocks. Wall of Disruption (which he is running) isn't a good card either, but it supports the wincon by lowering enemy attack as they go into battle. Magic Cylinder runs directly counter to the wincon by negating the attack and ignoring your own board setup.
