I do rockscape and Turf install. I bought a 5 by 10 dump trailer 5 years ago. Thing paid off on the first install. Now I have 3 bigger and heavy duty ones an still my first one. Dump trailers are so useful and save so much time. I wish I would have got my first one sooner. Was hand dump and unload in pick up bed for too long

Keep on keeping on brother I’m sure you see me running around hauling junk with the rusted out white crew cab Chevrolet in the area ! Trying to make it some weeks are good others are rough all because you got tough times don’t give up success is at the end nothing is given to you I’ve learned that i quit my job at the press republican in Plattsburgh to haul junk cars full time! I also bought a fisher minute mount going to get into the plowing this year on my own it’s a scary road to go down at first I will be the first to admit that but it’ll all be worth it In the end and I will tell you this if you want to make money off scrap metal hauling tell them you only pick metal up for free you do not pay because it’s by the ton and you don’t have a built in scale so it’s just like trash make them either pay you or take it away for free for the time and labor by the end of that anyways they won’t make much. I always take loose scrap for free I never pay unless it’s for a junk vehicle even if it’s 10 ton let’s say I still only take metal for free

Should I register business as a dba or an llc in your opinion I will be doing it just myself for now because I work full time job! Also do you recommend be putting together business name first and buy truck and trailer under business for a write or buy it all first? Thanks anything helps
@lakechamplainsanitation72262 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! I would recommend an LLC but check with a tax professional for better set up advice. I would get the plan and business name all set up and then buy the truck. As for the name to buy it in a DBA or LLC you will still need to “co-sign” for the business either way being brand new. Also a good thing to consult a professional about!

I am planning a dumpster rental side hustle for when I retire from my full time job in the next year or so... I have found a trailer I like with a dumpster I like. I cannot find out how much it costs for additional dumpsters and delivery of the additional dumpsters without requesting a quote. I do not want to be hounded by salesmen until I am ready to launch. Can you give me an idea of the cost per dumpster? I am thinking of an initial investment of 1 trailers and 10 dumpsters, unless they are ungodly expensive, eventually getting a back-up trailer and another 10 dumpsters over time if things work out...

A new PJ trailer like mine is $10k , dumpsters are each about $3,900 plus tax but could decrease a bit by buying in bulk. Shipping will depend on time of year and dealer stock

@@lakechamplainsanitation7226 there's two things important in business. First, you have to hustle. And the second thing that most people do wrong which causes them to fail is they don't stay organized. But you need to find someone to do that for you and you have to pay them even if it's part time. Success isn't just about you it's about the people you employ in the contacts that you make. Anyone can collect trash and take it to the dump for other people. I have a friend who's been doing it for almost 40 years. It took him a long time to find the good people that work for him. I know cuz he used to always complain about it to me. Haha
