Warranty is important, also customer reviews before buying trailer ( read reviews ) all new trailer look good . Allot of these company take short cuts. ( poor welding , bad paint causing premature rust ) loading of equipment you need 12” on center bracing under bed or floor will be wavy and start to break welds. If light use 16” on center is good. Great video

Excellent presentation, thank you 😊. I have a 14ft Deckover Dump by H&H (suretrac). It's got a 6" cyl Scissor lift, fold-down sides, and a 7ga floor. 8ft wide and 32" high, so it dumps a wider, higher pile. Stacked tube frame is the lightest, giving me 1klb more payload over an I-beam. Also, SureTrac has the Best ramps in the industry, bar none. Mine are 96" long, can handle my 9klb machine. They have a 1/2" bent plate at the top so they rest on the trailer Floor & frame, not the rub rail attached with a few welds. She's a gem 💎 ✨️ 👍 ~

Great video. Just got a 2023 sure-track telescopic and love it, 83 in by 12 foot. Not sure if mine is broke or not but was teaching my wife how to back up a trailer and noticed no back up lights. Would be the only draw back so far. Anyone else notice this or is something wrong with mine? 😅

Good information I do not understand why the last two big ones ..even though they are equipped with bigger axles…. They didn’t have a I beam frame…. I will stick with an 8 inch ibeam frame

As the load goes up the cg of the load gets closer to pivot. The ram has the same lever advantage, so less force is neede higher up.

Non-trailer things to know: Brake controller and weight distribution hitches.
@EOTG_AK Жыл бұрын
I would think the unsprung weight shouldn’t count toward the GVW. If the axle is rated to hold 7k for instance then the weight of the tires, wheels, hubs and axle itself is 100% supported by the ground so I would expect the 7k rating to be the actual weight carried by the springs. I have not been able to get an axle manufacturer to answer this questions directly. In other words, why would the weight of the tires and axle assembly count toward trailer weight for the GVWR calculation. Several MFG are already rating twin 7k axle trailers at 15.4k to account for the tongue weight. I believe the unsprung weight could be correctly discounted from the calculation which should pump that 15.4k rating up to ~16k

Are those tarps easy to replace if they ever break?
@MikeSmith-nu9wt2 жыл бұрын
Yeap , there's alot of times/ certain material hauled , that we don't even use them . I advise to carry something to protect the tarp if you have sharp stuff sticking up that will cut the tarp ( which is rare ) they last a long time , even with a hole here and there .
@joedoakes83072 жыл бұрын
Lets Talk about the FACT that your Trailers , that are long enough to hold a Skid Steer , don't seem to come equipped with Jacks on the rear of the trailer !!! Without those Jacks the trailer will LIFT the Assend of the towing vehicle OFF the ground !!!

Once you go beyond a 12’ dump trailer, if it does not have 8000 lb axles I’m not interested. There is no reason to have a dump trailer with less than 8000 lb axles.
@douglaspollock102 Жыл бұрын
Unless you’re trying to stay below CDL requirements and operate with a Class D license. If you take both the GVWR of the truck and trailer into consideration, there are reasons where 7K axles come into play.

Maybe for you, but there are plenty of people that use trailers without loading them heavy all the time. Sure there are plenty of reasons to not have 8000 lb axles on that size of trailer. Plenty.
