Actually saw a woman breakdown on the subway a few weeks ago and thought of that "caravan of sadness" line and had to stifle a smirk, which was not at all the appropriate response to that poor woman's very bad day.

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. "Like a caravan of sadness where we can all show our true emotions." Liz Miele is without doubt one of the most gifted comedians I have ever encountered. Her great strength comes from experiencing the psychological dysfunction that is the ground-state of the human condition, but being able to think 2nd thoughts and even 3rd thoughts about her experience and fearlessly make it accessible through the lens of her extraordinary intelligence and wit. Bless you Liz. You speak for us all.

Hi, im not religious at all, but letting go is how you rise in consciouness. Maybe this saying relates to accepting and surrendering to what is. As you do that you realize your long standing issues find a way of resolving themselfs as you let go of the negative energy they carried. Leaving it in the hands of 'god' could mean that, thus "let go and let God". The bible is full of treasures but whoever wrote it is terrible at explaining shit.
@mercytomankind98035 жыл бұрын
@@Pvezin Well said! That's exactly what I learned from reading the Quran. You're responsible for your actions, but God is there ready to help whenever you need Him. He is the Merciful Benefactor, the Merciful Redeemer. And that actually is the first thing God said in the Quran.

@LizMiele I absolutely LOVE the combination of the cartoon animated you with your standup comedy acts! The word balloon things and the fact that you do the acting-out/over-narration redo our your routines (ie; the you plus brother&sister remake of the female sexual positions joke ++%💯funny&charming), you really hit it out of the ballpark. This persona of you being kind of a hyper, never say quit, win/win person fighting your own personal demons is POWERFUL, and relatable. I just found you, and I'm so glad I found you, your comedy/animation/stage self is great... LIFE HINT IMHO: When you say "I am (this or that)" the universe pours energy into getting/making you (this/that), so choose carefully... When you say "I disavow I am (this/that)" you and the universe can wipe away an old bad program unhelpfully getting you (this/that), and you replace it something better... May I suggest; "I disavow I am BROKEN" then put in whatever you like (I would suggest one of WHOLE/LOVED/LOVABLE/BRILLIANT/SPARKLING/+(?) ... , I just think it will help turnaround your path to one that is much easier, more joyous and lower stress. : ) One of your many new fans, Cincinnati OH

As a Christian, the misuse of the phrase “let go and let God,” which isn’t even a scripture, more like a paraphrase of a concept from scripture, also drives me insane! So many people, including myself, misunderstand it and hear it as an excuse for apathy, which is NEVER encouraged in scripture.

Reallly made me realize how hard of a worker you are after watching your talk on dyslexia. I couldnt believe how much work it takes for you to have been doing stand up since 14! , super inspiring. I’m so freakin lazy compared to you. My brother and I always say we have dyslexia because we both hated school, don’t read since it’s incredibly hard to retain a single sentence, and takes us like 3-4 tries to get anything done right. After listening to you, I pretty much checked that one off my list which was how I learned you’re incredible, and I’m just gonna keep pretending I subbed to you 3 videos ago, when really I just finally did. 😐 (but i shared your podcast!)
@LizMiele4 жыл бұрын
This is very kind Rak! Thanks for watching my stuff, sharing my work and subscribing. It all means a lot. I don't think dyslexic people are lazy for not doing stuff that challenges them especially if there is no drive to do it. I've done everything I've done despite my dyslexia because I wanted to write and perform. School sucks cause there is no motivtion (or real learning) What inspired me to learn how I learn is because I wanted to get better at certain things. I think its less about being lazy and more about finding your passion. Dyslexia makes certain aspects of my job sooo much harder but it also makes me a better comic and unique thinker and problem solver than some of my peers. There are pros and cons to all of it. That talk you watched was put on by two drs who wrote The Dyslexic Advantage. Highly recommend the audio book. It changed my life. First book I ever read that made me feel like dyslexia was a blessing and not a curse. Wish you and your brother luck. Thanks for your support!
