I have a friend that hauls trash for a living. He has his own business. I used to think that it was a dirty business and sometimes I felt sorry for him. That was until he told me how much he was making a week. Well, he was making a lot of money. Last month he moved into his new 2 million dollar home. I have been thinking of buying myself a trash hauling truck. It might be a good side gig.

I started a business with my dad in rural area. Our state Corp. for trash is really bad and you never know when they'll pick up our trash 🗑 My dad and I started it as 50/50 partners. He's been working for long time and this is the business that's already gonna put him home every day and making more then what he's been making. Trash really is gold

Don't know why you were recommended, but massive kudos to you. I'm a recent layoff victim and myself thinking of going the being my own boss route (though in my area this particular business probably wouldn't work) . You are the truest definition of a man in every sense. May God continue to bless you and your business.

Yep getting city contracts would be hard I am over in Western New York. For example there was a group of towns in Niagara That all went in together and those are all now lockdowned by Modern for at least the next 6 years. They already had the contract before then anyways. But most in under contracts that last for years. There are 2 big companies that really run residential for both contracts and in the free market.. Modern and Waste Management.

Yeah it is tough in many areas, I’m pretty happy with our little residential route any more and we would need big trucks and big expenses, time to scale up dumpsters, junk removal and hopefully eventually demo.

What made you switch to a corporation? My brother and I just registered our LLC and started the filing process for all the necessary paperwork to make everything official. We already have two trucks one of them paid off so no overhead and we have begin looking for a dumpster trailer. Honestly this has been something that was a dream that we decided to reach for but for me when I started watching your videos that was kind of my final inspiration to just go on and put the fears behind and go for it. I’m going to see if I can find your email and send you a message that way I know in a different video you had mentioned doing a consultation with some other folks was going to see if that was maybe something we can set up also. Thank you for your time and effort that you put into these videos. The honesty and transparency that you project in the content there’s something a lot of people these days have no interest in doing. Genuine hard-working honest people such as yourself are becoming a rarity anymore.

New sub. Have a question are you required to obtain permits for each township for dumpster rental?

Thinking about starting a trash company base concept seems profitable but it looks like I'd need 206 cans just to get paid minimum wage 🤣 Lord ol mighty I guess everything up from there is gain over working for someone else

I have been told that insurance and business insurance is like 5k a year for doing this. Is there any truth to this?

@@lakechamplainsanitation Yes, insurance is ridiculously high. I pay $5,800 yearly for one truck and the trailer. The more trucks you have the more you pay. GL Insurance is not so bad...$600 a year.

Lake Champlain Sanitation this is my thinking also. They own the landfills and transfer station. If I started and they wanted to ruin me and force me bankrupt, they could.
