A little dumpster diving stop turned out way better than expected! Brought home a great haul of like-new devices, the condition of which made me think there may be some intention behind them. I'll show you what I mean and how to fix them all up!
Wire stripper I use: amzn.to/3jrO2iS
The motorized stripper: amzn.to/3y0JMuQ
The wire cutters I like: amzn.to/2T6j3OW
This is the cheaper version: amzn.to/2SwrYsB
And here are those grips I recommend: amzn.to/2QCJmYl
(If you make a purchase on amazon through the links above, a small amount of what amazon makes on the sale is shared with me. It's a great way to help support my channel, at no additional cost to you. Even if you buy something other than my tool recommendations!)
Please like/share this video if you enjoyed it, and subscribe to thubprint!

Wow that's what's up 😀 I love that you are not only keeping these things out of the landfill but you are making some money on top of it! Oh, pro tip, multi wick candles in broken jars are excellent to find. You just clean off the glass, pull out the wicks and melt them down. You can then repour them into new containers and you already have wicks. I'm definitely here for this next chapter!

Oh those are FANTASTIC! I found one a few years back, it wasn’t rotating but it was just the little plastic worm gear, they’re designed as an intentional point of failure and this one had cracked. Super easy fix. Just be sure to change the grease in the planetary head if you ever get it open, it’s intended to be changed every few years cuz it breaks down and can start leaking oil.

I like the Bed Bath n Beyond dumpsters they have some good things if u get lucky enough to find stuff that has very little damage or enough so that its fixable. It really sucks when they field destroy the stuff because its just gonna go to a land fill n they cant sell it anyway so they should just leave it as is so even if we cant grab it to re-sell we could still get some use out of it.
@thubprint
@thubprint 2 жыл бұрын
I mean I agree with you, but I do understand what the store needs to do as well. It comes down to the same thing I’m always banging on about, producer responsibility
@Bmxbandit261
@Bmxbandit261 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah i def understand where the stores are coming from. Like some stores will sell their excess stock or stuff they cant get rid of to discount retailers or donating it which i think is the best way to go about it. Or some places have arrangements with their suppliers that they will get credit for their unsold merch and in return have to destroy it. It just bothers me when they have to be that wasteful. I read the european company Burberry destroyed 36.8 million in merch last year and the company H & M has burnt around 60 tons worth of clothing since 2013 or a watch company thats destroyed over $365 million in watches in a year and all those companies reasoning is because they want to maintain exclusivity with their brand and thats totally understandable but when so many people in this world are in need it just bothers me how much we waste that could be put to use to actually do some good in this world.

When taking paint off plastic or any type of surface just take some gas on a rag or paper towels and that paint will wipe off like it's water, trust me. But be quick with the gas and wipe down with soapy water as the gas can hurt some surfaces if left on.

If you can’t fix some of the appliances you can part them out on eBay and Amazon. Since they are newer models they will yield more money. Sometimes the whole is worth less than the parts. I e the juicer catches may be worth $20-$30 each the reamer might be $15. Also its easier to ship smaller parts. Food for thought. I like finding the ninja blenders and parting them out. Anyway good score keep up the good work.

I just want dumpster diving the town over from me this very large home building company and is building 21 homes at the same time some are at the stage to where they are getting carpet some gutters different things but my favorite is right after they build the structure they start the wiring process and friends let me tell you in only 3 dumpsters I filled up seven of the largest totes that you can get of nothing but Bear right number one copper electric wire brass fittings copper plumbing fittings 3 full totes of number 2 wire from running the surround sound and things like intercom security System, and remind you I have the exact same car a white Pontiac vibe I was literally kicking the Toots to get them in the car for enough for me to shut the doors after all was said and done and I got one tote cleaned of the very sick gauge bear bright wire for just one tote it was a couple pounds shy of over 110 lb of nothing but the thickest bear bright wire if y'all don't know basically in the states for it to be considered thick bare bright it is the wire that runs the washer and dryer refrigerator the lightning ground wire that connects the house to the ground back to the fuse box it is the thickest electrical wire in any home and that was only three houses I have another 18 houses to go that have yet to be ran with the electrical wire now that many totes each one with all the copper being cleaned roughly around 100 to 160 pounds at $3.89 per pound the scrap yard I go to if you have be right wire for the equivalent of regular verbrite number one which is the thickness of a outlet wire if you bring in over 70 lb you will get $4.20 per pound we had a very good honey hole this week and the months to follow for our children it is going to be one very very good Christmas my regular routes is on Sunday evening to Sunday night around my area that is when the trash is set out and I have talked to many different trash pickers and they are so against looking in the trash bins but keep in mind everyone some of the most if not more than any of the best finds I have had is inside the trash bins don't let anyone tell you that it is illegal to open the lid and look inside a trash bin sitting in front of a house the garbage low and you can look this up as well in the United States in a police officer will tell you as well as the trash collection company that once a trash bin is set out for pickup anything inside that trash bin becomes public property and in no way could you be charged for a crime the facts are true I have been doing this for well over 30 years and sometimes try it out I have found gold after gold after gold after silver Platinum jewelry in the trash bags that is in the trash bins my advice is what I do myself if there is something valuable in a trash bag say for example a gold ring it will fall to the bottom corners of the trash bag my tip to you always first fill the corners the bottom corners of the trash bags the same goes for tools I have over thousands of dollars worth of tools I have found in trash bags that was set in the trash bins some worked some didn't if they don't want someone else to get the precious metals or electronics they will most definitely put them in the trash bags and in the trash bin I am going to be making my very first trash picking video tomorrow on my channel and someday I would love to collaborate with you and come and visit the country of Canada keep picking and always be proud of what you find God bless and happy hunting.

That has to be the biggest rip-off I've ever seen in the laundry world. Don't get me wrong.. happy that you found 6 bottles of spray to use, but I cannot believe Amazon is trying to sell that.
