How did you scrap the water cooler without venting the refrigerant into the atmosphere? I always walk away from those for this reason.
@javajeff37722 жыл бұрын
I would like to hear the answer to this question too. People look up to you, man. When people see you scrapping a water cooler, or worse an air conditioner without mentioning how important it is to reclaim the refrigerant, then they will do the same. It’s important that the scrapping community help protect the environment and take appliances that contain refrigerant to an appropriate location to have the refrigerant professionally reclaimed. Venting the refrigerant into the atmosphere to get a couple of dollars of scrap is never acceptable.

Wild guess here, but that thing with the maple leaf on it looks a little like the things they use on naval guns to plug the bores and stop water going down them. I have a welder friend who makes wood stoves from steel wheels and gets a good price for them too.

Hey kind off topic question. Do you think that it worth it taking apart a car and selling the reusable things and scraping the metal parts is worth? Or just selling it whole or the least profitable scraping the car while at the junkyard. This is for a late 90 pick up that has 200k and I don’t realistically see someone paying me more than $700 for.
