Hi Paul, your discussion about intrusive thoughts today really hit home with me. Unfortunately, I do get them more often than I like and they are usually about things that are "not me" so they are easy to identify. I feel like they are Satan's way of trying to infiltrate my mind or to try to "Normalize" things that I know are not right. Whenever I get thoughts like that, I stop what I am doing, and I confront Satan with a prayer commanding him to get out of my thoughts and head in the name of Jesus. This always seems to work for me as I know that Satan has no power over Jesus and that Satan is actually afraid of Jesus and the power of prayer. Peace be with you my Brother.

I made a new year's resolution to say something nice to everyone I meet, nice scarf, like your hair, etc. It makes people smile. There aren't enough smiles anymore. Those invasive thoughts rob you of your valuable time and energy. Yes, money like time is a tool. Thank you for sharing.
@ScrapPalletMan2 жыл бұрын
That is a great resolution. My suggestion is to always compliment the person and never their looks. They can take that the wrong way and we can be in hot water quickly. You can say, you are in a great mood or something that they did was smart. But I wouldn't say anything about their hair or looks at all. Just friendly advice :-)
@mj-hk6iv2 жыл бұрын
@ScrapPalletMan thank you for the advice, I'm pretty careful, I'm a 62 year old woman, and last night, a young girls face lit right up when I told her I loved her nails. I told a gentleman at the hardware store he explained something so well even I got it. I thanked our waitress at a little sandwich place for a pleasant evening and personally handed her the tip, my husband added that he appreciated the extra attention she showed us. But yes, i fully agree that you need to be careful when complementing a total stranger. We would never want to offend.
