Dumpster Diving Street Scrapping Bingo

Switching things up a bit this time around, it's a dumpster diving street scrapping adventure to be sure but THIS time, we're going to play a little game! Let's go find some scrap and make some money haha!

I think until you get your truck back you should forget shred and just collect non ferrous only. You’ll probably never have a space issue I mean of course you can also grab stainless, prepared, and cast iron. I’m just saying maybe skip the bulky shred helium steel

There was also the magpie that flew off one of the bins I went into haha! It’s not the lifters, she just does that sometimes. Burns about a quart of oil every couple thousand km so that’s the warning sound that she needs a top-up lol

RESEARCH your coax. Some higher quality coax cable is solid core copper. Good stuff to strip down if you have a bench vice wire stripper!

I found 4 of those glass bottles of increasing sizes, from 1 gallon to 55 liter....😀 I use the smallest to save quarters in, next largest for mixed change, since we still have pennies....lol

Be careful with that glass bubbler you picked up at the beginning of the video. I've heard horror stories about those. I have a glass one full of pennies. I once talked to a woman who also had one full of pennies. She told me the bottom fell out while she was handling it, and the glass cut her up real bad. I found her story credible. I guess the glass isn't thick enough to hold anything more than water.

Funny enough, I just picked up two 22” rims, both bashed and trashed, and luckily only one had to have the tire cut off. 👍🏻

I’ve noticed that too, a half copper one has become super rare. I think the rest of the microwave is so cheaply made now that something else in it will break long before the transformer starts getting weak anyway

When I learned that you could crack open those microwave transformers with one of those hammers you have, I went to Home Hardware, bought myself a hammer and busted open 4 that I was holding onto getting over 9lbs of copper

That’s true, I should start stashing a few if they’re in decent condition. Tires and tubes are sometimes the only thing stopping a free bike from being perfectly good again

FYI, those German mustard glasses make great T-light holders, the sides create patterns and the shape of the glass itself causes the candles to flicker, great ambience makers.

The dumpster bingo is funny, i like it. We stoped deposit bottles in 1980 here in Florida. I used to get alot of money collecting bottles for the deposit money when i was a kid. Good memories of that.

I’ve never made an app before though so for now, it’s gonna stay super low-tech haha
